Miami authorities arrested Dolphin’s defensive end Derrick Shelby Saturday morning after an altercation in a Fort Lauderdale nightclub. Shelby’s face is bruised and bloody in a booking mugshot released of the NFL player. According to a Fort Lauderdale police spokeswoman, Shelby was causing a disturbance at Off the Hookah, a nightclub located at 111 Southwest 2nd Avenue. The incident occurred around 2 A.M. on Oct. 4.

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. —A bomb threat shut down LakeXpress bus service Thursday morning over a bomb threat, authorities said. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad was on scene and searching buses. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A jury in Jacksonville, Fla., found Michael Dunn, a white man who fatally shot a black teenager after an argument over loud music outside a convenience store, guilty of first-degree murder Wednesday. Prosecutors said the 47-year-old Dunn shot with intent to kill when he fired 10 times into a sports utility vehicle carrying 17-year-old Jordan Davis and three of his friends in November 2012. The Justice Department is not expected to bring civil rights charges against George Zimmerman in the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin, according to three law enforcement officials, despite allegations that the killing was racially motivated.
