After the Call to Action, I began to put together a list of Freepers who identified their location as anywhere in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. I then sent out a FreepMail to all those I identified and posted information on the Texas board about having a Freep Meet for all DFW Freepers. About 30 of us have exchanged mail and determined that Saturday, April 25th is a pretty good night to meet. There's a Gun Show planned for that weekend at Dallas Market Hall, so if you'd like to come to the gun show and meet up with us afterward...

Call to action: Possible Action Items for Regional FReeper Conventions http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2188527/posts I would be happy to organize, or help organize, a West Texas get-together to jump-start this area. If those in the Lubbock, Midland, Odessa, Seminole, others I haven't named in West Texas would contact me, we’ll get this rolling. (However, Lubbock might prefer to be in a Panhandle group, but they’d be more than welcome in this one) Borrowing this from nomad: As conservatives of different stripes, its our right to act as individuals, however, its this same love of personal freedom which is under attack, therefore, lets try...

On Feb. 18th of 2009, Mr. Robinson posted a thread entitled, Call to action:Possible Action Items for FReeper Conventions. Please consider this both a call for other state chapters to organize, and for the Ohio board to begin organizing local meetings geared towards an eventual freeper grassroots action convention. Now, it is only a personal suggestion that we start at a local level, if you believe that your board already has sufficient cohesion to begin organizing at a state or regional level, then go for it.As conservatives of different stripes, its our right to act as individuals, however, its this...

Attention all Freepers located in Southwest Virginia! I am interested in holding a regional convention to discuss how we as a group move forward with the issues that matter to all conservatives. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Just throwing out a handful of ideas for discussion: How to develop local chapters/conservative grassroots groups. Develop a conservative platform and a plan for recruiting, training, supporting and electing conservative candidates. Develop ideas for building an effective nationwide conservative grassroots network. How to combat the Fairness Doctrine? Install offshore servers? Private BBS? Email/Phone/Fax lists? Shortwave radio? Local/personal networking? Working with other conservative groups, political parties? Would a FReeper PAC be feasible? Practical? Effective? Would a FReeper 527 organization be feasible? Practical? Effective? How to infiltrate/influence local political organizations? Select and fund delegates for a national convention should our membership decide...

Okay, I posted to the Florida board and I heard back from no one interested in helping out to get something set up locally. Below is a good starting point that I borrowed from a W. Va Freeper getting started in his neck of the woods. I think this is a good starting point that can be massaged. Is anyone interested in teaming up with me to get something worked out in Central Florida? No one else is going to do it except us. 9AM - MeetnGreet over coffee & donuts 10:30AM - Introductions and brainstorming session to come up...

This may be a topic for our regional FReeper conventions coming up, but how many of you would be interested in forming an official conservative FReeper PAC for raising funds to help replace Dems and RINOs and to get conservatives elected?

WEST VIRGINIA FREEPERS! It's time to get active! The socialists have taken over Washington, and the only way to combat it is to GET LOCAL. I am currently looking into venues and education/entertainment opportunities for a West Virginia conference. Call it: COMMITMENT TO LIBERTY '09 Most likely venue will be Charleston. Perhaps a visit to the Capitol? Here's a very rough, tentative schedule: 9AM - MeetnGreet over coffee & donuts 10:30AM - Introductions and brainstorming session to come up with initial goals for the group Noon - Lunch on your own 1:30PM - Session to refine our goals & objectives...

A few weeks ago, I posted a thread asking how many of you would be interested in holding a centralized FReeper meeting somewhere in the middle of the country, possibly on an airline hub so a maximum number of FReepers could attend. Lots of people sounded interested, but only if it were held closer to home and preferably within driving distance. Ok, if one big central meeting is not feasible, I posted another thread asking about regional meetings. Sounds like a lot more people are interested in this, but everyone's asking when one will be scheduled in their area. Well,...
