<p>FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida (CNN) --Five victims of a sport utility vehicle crash are recovering in Florida hospitals Thursday after receiving medical aid from incoming Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R- Tennessee.</p> <p>Frist, a surgeon, was driving near the accident scene Wednesday on Alligator Alley, the section of Interstate 75 that runs across the Everglades. He stopped and helped emergency workers treat crash victims after an SUV rolled over several times in an apparent tire blowout. A 10-year-old girl died at the scene, according to Broward County Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Todd Leduc.</p>
