Donald Trump supporter Newt Gingrich on Sunday sharply criticized the presumptive GOP presidential nominee for his racially-sensitive remarks about the judge presiding over the Trump University civil fraud case. “It was one of the worst mistakes Trump has made. Inexcusable,” the former GOP House speaker, who has become one of Trump’s closest advisers, told “Fox News Sunday.” Trump has argued that American-born District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, whose parents are from Mexico, is biased against him, considering Trump’s vow to build a wall along the southern U.S. border to keep out Mexicans. “He’s Mexican,” Trump told CNN on Friday. “We’re building...
  • Gingrich: Trump's attacks on judge 'unacceptable'

Donald Trump supporter and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich isn't on board with Trump's attacks on a federal judge. “I don’t know what Trump’s reasoning was, and I don’t care,” Gingrich said in an email to the Washington Post. “His description of the judge in terms of his parentage is completely unacceptable.” Trump has continually bashed U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is overseeing lawsuits over Trump's real estate education program Trump University. Trump claims that because Curiel is of Mexican descent, he is inherently biased against him and should recuse himself. Curiel was born in Indiana to immigrant parents.

Yesterday saw yet another series of attacks upon peaceful Donald Trump supporters by violent, open borders Marxists. Predominately, although not exclusively Mexican. Naturally, this prompted the news media-with a few notable exceptions-to castigate the people who were peaceably assembling. Hats off to the cretinous lackwits at Vox though, for actually endorsing Robespierrean political terror. Remind me again why building a wall is a bad thing? Hopefully, Newt will address this subject, among others, in his periodic Facebook live chat. You can watch Newt Live here.

I was stunned over the weekend when Newt Gingrich went hard after Donald Trump for the real estate mogul's comments about the ethnicity of a judge overseeing a case involving Trump University. *snip* Given that back and forth, I reached out to Gingrich to see what he made of the hubbub — and whether it had changed his generally positive views on Trump. It has not. Here's what Newt told me: Trump is going to be fine as a candidate. He is learning very rapidly. When [Ted] Cruz dropped out so early it took away the 60 days Trump and...
  • Trump's Running Mate? Why Newt Gingrich May Be on the 'Short List'(Pro-Trump)

Newt Gingrich is a busy man who could possibly get even busier. The former Georgia lawmaker's name is coming up as a serious candidate to be Donald Trump's vice president. Just last month, Trump assured "Fox & Friends" co-host Steve Doocy that Gringrich was on his "short list" of candidates. "Newt is such a great supporter. He's a tremendous guy … absolutely [he is on the list]. I'll say yes because he's been such a supporter. Anybody that supports me is on the short list," Trump told Doocy.

A day after former Newt Gingrich called Donald Trump's latest comments on Judge Gonzalo Curiel "inexcusable," the presumptive Republican nominee fired back at the former House speaker, who has largely been supportive of his candidacy. "As far as Newt is concerned, I saw Newt," Trump told "Fox & Friends" on Monday after the show played clips of Hillary Clinton and Gingrich denouncing his remarks speculating that Curiel's Mexican heritage represented a conflict of interest in the cases against Trump University over which he is presiding. "I was surprised at Newt. I thought it was inappropriate what he said."

This year's newly crowned Miss USA has both beauty and brains in spades - and has also served her country. Miss District of Columbia Deshauna Barber will go on to compete in the Miss Universe contest as the winner of Sunday's 2016 Miss USA competition held at the T-Mobile Arena off the Las Vegas Strip. Barber, who works as an IT analyst for the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington D.C. as well as a Logistics Commander for the 988th Quartermaster Detachment Unit at Fort Meade, Maryland, broke down in tears as she won. The 26-year-old, whose mother, father, brother...

The White House and lawmakers on Tuesday refrained from condemning a deadly Israeli attack on Gaza-bound ships carrying humanitarian aid. White House press secretary Robert Gibbs would not go much further than a United Nations Security Council resolution that condemned the loss of life without criticizing Israel’s actions. Gibbs echoed the resolution calling for the U.N. investigation of the incident to be “prompt, impartial, credible and transparent.” At least 10 civilians were killed in the attack, and many were wounded. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was scheduled to visit President Barack Obama at the White House on Tuesday, but he...

If you ever get discouraged about your ability to effect change in a world where one person may not appear to count for much, consider the story of James Oglethorpe. The Georgia Colony of Britain was established by King George to settle the land between the southern border of South Carolina and Spanish Florida "for the settling of the poor persons of London." There were three goals in establishing the colony: to give the deserving poor a chance, to bring trade and wealth to the Crown and to defend the Carolinas from the Spanish. King George named Oglethorpe, the third...
  • ACLU Leader Quits Over 'Transgender Bathroom Rights' Flap

The interim director of the Georgia chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union has resigned over the agency's support of the federal directive allowing public-school students to use the bathroom matching their gender identity. Maya Dillard Smith called it quits on Thursday, saying the transgender ruling comes at the expense of women's civil rights. "If our goal is to advance the rights of equality of transgender folk, how do we do that, and advance the rights of all people?" Dillard Smith said, according to 11alive.com. If we have all-gender restrooms which will accommodate trans folks, what do we do about...

A lovely burka-clad Muslim woman emerged from the woods in Lawrenceville, Georgia, pulled a US flag out of the ground and beat a homeowner and her daughters with it. Maybe she did it for Allah? The Smoking Gun reported: A woman clad in a burka attacked a Georgia homeowner with an American flag that was flying in front of the victim’s home, police allege. According to cops, Aisha Ibrahim, 30, emerged Tuesday morning from a wooded area adjacent to victim Dami Arno’s home in Lawrenceville, a city about 30 miles northeast of Atlanta. Arno told police that Ibrahim–whose eyes were...

Mr. Trump’s nabbing of the presidential nod embodies a dramatic shift in the political paradigm. Many voters are now more motivated by their frustration with Washington than their ideology. As I’ve said all along, this movement is bigger than party or ideology, or even, dare I say, Trump himself. However, I’m not dismissing the incredible skill set our nominee possesses. Through straightforward, unapologetic criticism of the powers-that-be, Trump has tapped into the anti-Washington sentiment. Anyone who read ‘The Art of the Deal’ shouldn’t be surprised by his technique or his success. The negotiation strategy outlined by Trump the Dealmaker in his...
  • How the Democratic Party Ruined Atlanta

Atlanta, Georgia has not been governed by a Republican mayor since 1879. Most significant is the fact that the city has been led exclusively by Democrats since the 1960s and early '70s, the period when the Democratic Party emphatically broke away from centrist liberals and fell predominantly under the sway of its far left wing, a course which it still follows to this day. One of Atlanta's more important political figures during this Democratic era was its first African American mayor, Maynard Jackson, who held office for three (non-consecutive) four-year terms: 1974-78, 1978–82, and 1990–94. In May 1974, the newly...

A family in Lawrenceville said they were attacked by a total stranger just because they were flying an American Flag. Amina Ahra, 30, was arrested on two counts of simple battery after being accused of attacking a mother and daughter at their home. Dami Arno told police she was in the garage talking with her daughter when she said Ahra came out of the woods wearing a full Burka, grabbed the flag from off the mailbox and charged at them. She said she still cannot believe it all happened on American soil. “A lady walked out of our woods in...
  • Trump Has Solid Lead Over Clinton in Georgia (Trump 49%, Clinton 40%)

PPP's new Georgia poll finds that the prospect of Democrats flipping the state blue in the Presidential race may have diminished with the unification of Republican voters around Donald Trump in the last month. Trump leads Clinton 45/38, with Libertarian Gary Johnson at 6% and Green Party candidate Jill Stein at 2%. Georgia's a state where Trump is unpopular (44/49 favorability), but Clinton is another degree more unpopular (33/60 favorability). Clinton and Trump draw pretty identical support within their own parties. Clinton's up 86/3 with Democrats, while Trump's up 84/3 with Republicans. That inherently would give Trump the advantage in...

A forestry company filed a civil Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) lawsuit against Greenpeace Tuesday for misrepresenting the company’s environmental record to raise funds and promote its agenda. Greenpeace knowingly and deliberately made false claims about the company while fundraising, and fabricated evidence of Resolute’s alleged environmental malfeasance, according to the forestry and paper company Resolute Forest Products. RICO is an anti-mafia law designed to combat organized crime. Greenpeace’ is a global fraud,” states the 124-page legal complaint. “For years, this international network of environmental groups collectively calling themselves ‘Greenpeace’ has fraudulently induced people throughout the United States and...
  • Byron York: Why Trump attacked Martinez

Many observers were mystified when Donald Trump attacked New Mexico Republican Gov. Susana Martinez. But the story was really very simple: Martinez hit Trump, so Trump hit back. *snip* The Trump-Martinez bewilderment focused on four factors: Martinez is Hispanic, she's a woman, she's a Republican (head of the Republican Governors Association), and she's popular. "I think it sent all the wrong signals," said Newt Gingrich, who has generally been pro-Trump. "You particularly don't want to see your candidate who needs to...get stronger with Latinos, and stronger with women, attack a Latina woman Republican governor." *snip* Trump has made a principle...
