Seven men were each charged Tuesday for their roles in three gang-related assaults over the span of two days in downtown St. Paul in January. The Ramsey County Attorney’s office says the defendants are all members of the Gutter Block Goon gang, and all are charged with two counts each of third- and fourth-degree riot, both of which are considered crimes committed for the benefit of a gang: Michael James Jackson, 29; Jesse Jamoni Moore, 23; Rodney Lloyd Johnson, 22; Devon Walter Lee Johnson, 20; Ramon Devon Tolbert, 19, Keanu Antwain Brown, 19; and Donald Maurice McCormick, 19.

In a fourth attempt to decertify the United Autoworkers (UAW) union, workers at NTN-Bower Corporation in Alabama voted to rid themselves of the UAW Friday. Although the official tally has yet to be released, sources tell The Daily Caller News Foundation that workers voted 82 to 50 to decertify the United Autoworkers. Previous decertification elections were deemed invalid, resulting in workers having to hold a fourth round.

NEW YORK (AP) — Police handcuffed dozens of protesters in cities around the country on Thursday as they blocked traffic in the latest attempt to escalate their efforts to get McDonald's, Burger King and other fast-food companies to pay their employees at least $15 an hour. HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – A Hampton police officer shot an aggressive dog Friday while responding to a call about a stolen moped. According to the Hampton Police Division, the officer responded to the 1200 block of Pansy Street around 9 p.m. The person who called about the moped was walking with his unleashed dog toward the officer. Police said that’s when the dog aggressively charged at the officer, who feared for his safety and shot the dog once in the upper body. In San Francisco, SEIU staff, represented by the left-wing Communications Workers of America, has been without a contract since their contract expired last September. SEIU boss Roxanne Sanchez, according to the San Francisco Bay Guardian, is trying to get her union staff to give concessions on their pensions and health care. Last week, after months without a contract, 94% of the SEIU’s own union staff voted to strike.
