THE RIGHT DIVIDER’S POCKET STARTER This begins a series, in outline form, of basic dispensational themes. It was developed for teaching a young local assembly of Christians in the Philippines in the 1990’s. We published this in 2002 in the form of a pocket guide, and used it widely in the Philippines. This is in outline form. I look forward to reading any comments that properly contribute to the outline. Here is Part One Ages (see also Dispensations) 1. Age of Gentiles (Genesis chs. 1-11; Romans 1:18-32)a. Times of Positive Volition see Innocence Genesis chs 1 & 2.b. Times of...

The health overhaul package passed by the House Sunday and sent to the Senate for final action is the most far-reaching health legislation since the creation of the Medicare and Medicaid programs. While the underlying Senate bill will become law as soon as President Barack Obama signs it, additional changes will occur if the Senate passes the reconciliation-bill part of the package. The following is a look at the impact of the entire package, which would extend insurance coverage to 32 million additional Americans by 2019, but also have an effect on almost every citizen.

23rd PSALM now known as 2010 Obama is the shepherd I did not want. He leadeth me beside the still factories. He restoreth my faith in the Republican party. He guideth me in the path of unemployment for his party's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the bread line, I shall fear no hunger, for his bailouts are with me. He has anointed my income with taxes, My expenses runneth over. Surely, poverty and hard living will follow me all the days of my life, And I will live in a mortgaged home forever. I am glad...

It's no wonder why they don't read their own bills! I guarantee you that someone of Pelosi's non-existent intellect hasn't read it, which begs the question: Who actually writes these things? For those of us who have a life, below is a "reader's guide" or breakdown of some of the key elements of Pelosi's bill:

While in prayer over the last three weeks I have kept getting that the west coast of America was going to begin to see extreme weather changes including hurricanes , then this morning I received this word in prayer for your discernment and intercession . . . Hurricanes and weather not seen before now , How long shall you hang onto your sacred cow , The thing that blinds you this very day , Shall soon cause you immense dismay , A shaking is coming behold ! I reveal it even now , So what shall be your answer? Me...

Anyone a Dish TV network customer? If so, can you tell me how many days does the basic Dish Network receiver guide display? I used to have a high end Hughes receiver with a 15+ day guide, but it burnt out recently, or got zapped in a power failure, and since DirecTV only uses their own brand recivers now, I ended up replacing my box with one of DirecTVs basic recievers, and quite frankly, it's been a big step down. The screen only shows 1.5 hrs on the screen at a time, and only shows 2 days worth of guide....

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Bailout By Joseph Lawler on 1.13.09 In a recent Wall Street Journal opinion piece, Stephen Moore highlighted the parallels between today's economic events and those depicted in Ayn Rand's classic Atlas Shrugged. "Many of us who know Rand's work have noticed that with each passing week, and with each successive bailout plan and economic-stimulus scheme out of Washington, our current politicians are committing the very acts of economic lunacy that 'Atlas Shrugged' parodied in 1957," Moore wrote. Point taken: Rand was eerily prescient in predicting the encroachment of big government during this crisis. Then again, it...

WASHINGTON, July 11, 2008 – A company that publishes an annual deployment guide has sped up its schedule to release the 2009 guide this fall. AmeriForce Publishing is changing its production schedule to get the 2009 guide out early because large-scale troop rotations are taking place later this year, Julie Miller, senior sales manager for AmeriForce Publishing, said. “Our servicemembers and their families need all the help we can offer,” she said. “We believe that by providing this publication this fall and updating the topics in the guide to remain current, we are providing the kind of support our...

Don't stop hurricanes, guide them 03 May 2008 From New Scientist Print Edition. Would-be hurricane fighters hoping to stop a future Katrina before it makes landfall should aim to wound, not kill. The goal should be to re-route hurricanes and ease their fury, rather than try to stop them forming in the first place. This is the latest advice from weather modification experts. The field has a colourful history. In the 1960s and early 1970s, scientists on "Project Stormfury" tried in vain to disrupt the inner structure of hurricanes by seeding them with silver iodide crystals. Various other far-fetched ideas...

Folks, whether you avoid thinking about it or not, we may be governed by socialists in all three branches of our government next year. We are going to get a Liberal administration one way or another. We already have Liberal judges all over the country. In the worst-case scenario, we would also get a bigger-margin Democratic congress with Liberals in the leadership positions. As conservatives we don't feel doom and gloom all the time as Liberals do (except now they have 'hope and change'). Lives go on. A good thing about being a conservative is that we prepare for a...

"Senator Thompson’s eight-year record in the U.S. Senate demonstrates an admirable commitment to limited government and free-market principles. His record on entitlement reform and school choice is excellent, while his support for lower taxes and free trade is very good." What did the Club for Growth, a leading driver of free market reform in the US, have to say about the others? (Here is a quick rundown)

<p>When I came to Free Republic I had never used HTML. All the guides seemed complicated. This is a guide where I try to keep it as short as possible to cover the most needed topics. There are many better and more complete guides. I'll link to a couple at the end.</p>

Idea 1: Pigouvian Carbon Tax on Emissions Stump speech/Campaign Ad proposal: "In recognition of the potential harm caused by global warming, as well as the dependence of the American economy and way of life on commerce and industry (read: pollution), I propose a carbon tax on all greenhouse emissions. This tax will discourage pollution and slow global warming, but without unnecessarily harming economic growth. It will also make sure citizens and companies alike pay their Fair Share for the depletion of our precious ozone they cause." Answering your conservative critic: "My opponent wants to ignore the science that humans contribute...

In the long run, the battle to make America safer is part of a larger cause—the battle to make the free world safer and, indeed, to make the whole world freer. Victory will come only if representative government prevails, because freedom is the one force strong enough to stop tyranny and terror. In our modern day and age, America appears to have forgotten the guiding principles that have led her thus far. Getting America Right offers not a revolutionary, novel solution, but an answer that is as old as America herself—a conservative one...

Scientists are over the moon at the W.M. Keck Observatory and the California Institute of Technology over a new discovery of a satellite orbiting the Solar System's 10th planet (2003 UB313). The newly discovered moon orbits the farthest object ever seen in the Solar System. The existence of the moon will help astronomers resolve the question of whether 2003 UB313, temporarily nicknamed "Xena," is more massive than Pluto and hence the 10th planet. A paper describing the discovery was submitted to the Astrophysical Journal Letters on October 3, 2005. "We were surprised because this is a completely different type of...

Themes: Leadership, Foreign policy (USA), Foreign policy (USSR and successor states), Conservatism, Autobiographical comments We have lost a great president, a great American, and a great man, and I have lost a dear friend. In his lifetime, Ronald Reagan was such a cheerful and invigorating presence that it was easy to forget what daunting historic tasks he set himself. He sought to mend AmericaÍs wounded spirit, to restore the strength of the free world, and to free the slaves of communism. These were causes hard to accomplish and heavy with risk, yet they were pursued with almost a lightness...

With its large print and simple phrasing, The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History (or PIG as it cheerfully calls itself) is a fiery polemic aimed at students besieged by the "stale and predictable platitudes of mainstream texts." It is not a comprehensive history of America, but a kind of thematic one; a lot of liberal icons and shibboleths take a beating, and rightly so in many cases. Woodrow Wilson's League of Nations was an unrealistic scheme. Franklin Roosevelt's rhetoric was filled with dangerous "anti-business zealotry." Lyndon Johnson's Great Society was a failure with terrible consequences. Much of the book,...
