The campaign of Democratic attorney general candidate Andy Beshear is attempting to have an ad by the Republican Attorneys General Association removed from Lexington airwaves. The ad first was launched on Tuesday in the Lexington market where the 30-second spot is airing on: WLEX-TV, WKYT-TV and WTVQ-TV. HOPKINSVILLE, KY.--A picture of a Jennie Stuart Medical Center employee wearing a President Barack Obama mask and straitjacket at the hospital's annual costume party has stirred debate. Along with the costume (pictured above), a skit called "VIP Special Delivery" was performed, winning the group third place in the costume contest. As a result, all 750 employees have now been required to take diversity training. "Ned" Breathitt because, at age 78, "he was still working, fighting for the causes he found were right, still in the midst of life," author and journalist John Ed Pearce said yesterday.</p>

"Ned" Breathitt, who pushed through Kentucky's landmark civil-rights bill in the mid-1960s, collapsed last night while giving a speech at the University of Kentucky and was in critical condition at UK Medical Center.</p> <p>Breathitt, 78, was speaking at an appreciation dinner for Lexington Community College volunteers when he stopped in mid-sentence, paused and fell over on his right side about 7:40p.m.</p>
