The Obama administration's rollout of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) has been an "unacceptable" failure that's disappointed supporters and invigorated critics, Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) charged Tuesday. "This was not done the way it should have been done. Period," he said during a news conference in the Capitol. Hoyer, the minority whip, emphasized that the ongoing problems with the ACA's federal insurance exchange website are technical, and warned that there's no substance to the GOP claims that those troubles are reflective of the underlying law. "But the implementation of that Act in terms of the web access and capabilities is...

Dems say NO to an exemption from ObamaCare (for one-year) for average, hard-working Americans... Dems say NO to ending taxpayer-funded health care subsidies for fat-cats in the U.S. Senate and House of Reps... Dems say NO to ending the ObamaCare exemption for Big Business. Dems say NO to opening up national historic sites that are open 365 days a year - with no federal supervision to boot.

Obama gives any delays that he wishes to and any time that he wants to by unilateral executive fiat. When Republicans offer up a delay that they wish to implement, they are told by Reid and other Dems that "It's (ObamaCare) the law." And right after saying "It's the law," Obama/Dems feel no obligation to not offer up another delay if and when they feel like it. Republicans are told that they aren't willing to compromise. Guess what? They offer up a compromise - they go from wanting to defunding ObamaCare to voting to delay its implementation for one year....

Don’t put your support behind any of these people, whether for military action in Syria, asylum, immigration, another hate preaching mosque. This is what is moving into your town, your country, your society, your neighborhood: video... This video is written with false propaganda claiming...

Despite it being overwhelmingly clear that the American people want nothing to do with the civil war in Syria, the Pentagon has proposed entering the war. Under the proposal U.S. involvement will escalate from providing weapons to rebels via the CIA to direct support and training of rebel forces by the U.S. military. ...

Amidst reports of chemical weapons and atrocities committed by the warring factions, one Sierra Leonean, Sheikh Mohammed Canah Bah (photo) [at URL] has been captured and tortured to death by the Free Syrian Army... Even though no reason has been proffered by the rebel faction for the capture and execution of the Sierra Leonean, reports generally indicate that such dispositions have been usually manifested against foreigners in the country, a situation akin to what happened to blacks in Libya during the rebellion against Muhamar Al Gaddafi. A representative of the Sierra Leone Students Union in Syria, now residing in the...

The United States-Russian deal for the destruction of Syria's huge chemical weapons stocks caused Israelis to breathe an audible sigh of relief. Many expected that a U.S. strike would push either Syria or its ally Hezbollah tio retaliate by attacking Israel. Over the past few weeks, thousands of Israelis, not known for their patience, spent hours waiting in line for government-issued gas masks. Yet the deal also increases pressure on Israel to get rid of its chemical and, even more troubling to the Jewish state, its nuclear stockpile. If Syria must get rid of its chemical weapons, the reasoning goes,...

Cairo: The Arab League will back a Russian plan to place Syrian chemical weapons under international supervision for eventual destruction, its secretary general said on Tuesday. Nabil al-Arabi told reporters in Cairo the League will 'soon issue a statement announcing its support officially' for the Russian plan... "If you remember, I always insisted that (the Syrian conflict) needs a political solution" Arabi said. But they fell short of calling for military strikes as proposed by Washington, with several members opposed to foreign intervention in Syria.

A series of fresh revelations about atrocities and war crimes perpetrated by Western-backed Syrian "rebels" had sparked alarm among analysts, further complicating Obama's already tough-push for support to launch military strikes against the Assad regime. ... the latest atrocities are being cited by critics of the warmongering as more reasons not to join the civil war on behalf of ruthless jihadists... Christian villagers quoted in new reports [URL at link] said the rebels had, among other atrocities, forced them to convert to Islam or be murdered while shouting the now-infamous "Allahu Akbar" war cry. Christian homes and churches were reportedly...

Obama is going on a whirlwind media blitz this week in an attempt to sell a very skeptical public on war with Syria. Yet the Washington Post notes: Obama’s top aide says the administration lacks “irrefutable, beyond-a-reasonable-doubt evidence” that skeptical Americans, including lawmakers who will start voting on military action this week, are seeking. Indeed, those who have seen the evidence say that it is incredibly weak. German intelligence also says that Assad didn’t order the attacks. Moreover, President Obama correctly noted in 2007: The President does not have the power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack...

Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) on Tuesday defended the Obama administration's domestic spying programs, arguing that, unlike the secret surveillance under President George W. Bush, the current programs appear legal.

Keeping straight all the scandals, cover-ups, obfuscations and excuses for massive DOJ document seizures that are occurring during the watch of the administration that replaced the Bush era with unprecedented levels of transparency and rule of law does tend to be confusing. However, if these guys aren’t careful, at some point they might accidentally start talking about a scandal that the public doesn’t yet know about: At Rep. Steny Hoyer’s weekly meeting with reporters on Tuesday, the Maryland Democrat was asked if he was concerned about the DOJ seizing phone records from Associated Press journalists working in the House press...

House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) decided to politicize the bombings that took place at the Boston Marathon on Monday, saying that they were “proof” that some of the sequester cuts were “irrational.” We should have known that this would be forthcoming from a Democrat’s lips and so we are not shocked, but we are most assuredly sickened by Hoyer’s comments. Hoyer claimed that the bombings demonstrate “why having the ability to dress security concerns is important” and then tied that with cutting off sequestration.

At a Tuesday press conference, Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) politicized the Boston Marathon bombings by blaming Monday's tragedy on the sequester, saying the bombings were "proof" that some of the sequester cuts were "irrational." Hoyer is the House Minority Whip and second-ranking Democrat in leadership.

I can't believe what Steny Hoyer said concerning the sequester cuts. But, according to Bob Woodward, the sequester cut was Jacob Lew's (Obam's choice to be Treasury secretary) idea, and the idea was jumped on by Obama.

Democrats, including Hoyer, today blamed the Boston Marathon bombings on the Republicans. According to them, the Republican Sequester so damaged our intelligence community that it caused the Marathon bombers to get away with it. Took then just 24 hours to blame conservatives for the lives and limbs lost. I am no fan of the Democrats, but this lowers the level of their loathsomeness to a new bottom.

House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) warned his Republican counterpart on Friday that the GOP will have no hope of finding bipartisan agreement on any issue if it continues to insist on repealing the 2010 healthcare law. "If we want to do something in a bipartisan fashion, if we want to get to an end here, we ought to stop pretending that we´re going to repeal the Affordable Care Act," Hoyer told Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.). "We had an election about that. We won. The president won." Hoyer´s comment
