Trump Economy: During his 2016 campaign, then-GOP candidate Donald Trump was mocked by Democrats (and some Republicans) for claiming that, under his leadership, Americans would get “tired of winning.” Well, there’s no sign most Americans have reached that point, but there is plenty of evidence that our country and our people are definitely winning under POTUS Trump’s economic leadership.

Former President Obama deserves more credit for the strong U.S. economy than President Trump, according to MSNBC's Joe Scarborough. "Yeah, it's a strong economy," Scarborough told "Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski. "But Mika, this is not an economy that Donald Trump gave us. This is an economy that's part of the seven year ongoing recovery." Scarborough also said this "isn't the greatest economy ever" and that it "isn't close to the greatest economy ever." "Barack Obama had more people getting jobs his last 16 or 18 months than they had jobs during Donald Trump's first 16 or 18 months," he...

UAE and Greek companies claim world first tech allows architects to become industry’s master builders UAE-based 3D printing company Immensa Technology Labs has released the result of a joint effort with Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) to recover a series of concrete casting techniques with the aid of large-format 3D printing. In what the two companies claim is a world-first, a ‘Sensorial Adaptive Concrete Screen’ was developed with NOWlab, the innovation department of Berlin-based BigRep. The screen showcases techniques that once belonged to skilled craftsman but have had life breathed back into them through expert digital fabrication. According to a statement...

President Trump on Saturday campaigned in Ohio for Republican state Sen. Troy Balderson ahead of a special House election next week, saying the Democratic opponent is controlled by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and favors open borders. Running against the Trump-backed candidate is Democrat Danny O’Connor. Earlier Saturday, the president described O'Connor in a tweet as “a puppet” for Pelosi, “weak on Crime, Borders & your 2nd Amendment,” with a goal of raising taxes. Before welcoming Balderson onstage, Trump described him as “really smart” and “a really hard worker” who would “fight for Ohio.” Balderson promised to “fight alongside” the...

Sanity: Without question, President Obama and his administration were the biggest enemies of the fossil fuel industry in the history of our country. Never mind that fossil fuels (along with innovation) were responsible for transforming the United States into the world’s leading economic power. Obama was dead-set on destroying the industry in lieu of some ‘clean energy’ nirvana that is decades away from reality, given the pace of technological development in that industry.

It has become an article of faith among Republicans and some pundits: If only President Trump would stop with the racism and cruelty (as with family separations), the authoritarian assaults on the press and on the Mueller probe, and the panting embraces of Vladimir Putin, Republicans could bask in the glorious “Trump economy” and stave off big losses this fall. In this telling, if the election were about only the economy, Republicans would still face stiff headwinds but might at least weather them to the degree needed to hold the House. Friday morning, the monthly jobs report showed the unemployment...

Here is the Founder of the “Netroots Nation” gathering – Markos Moulitsas – telling Chuck Todd that in the 2020 Presidential Campaign, Democrats must embrace “Socialism” or be “irrelevant.” He even said “Donald Trump doesn’t want his taxes to go up – but everyone else kinda does.” Moulitsas also said of Republicans, “They will be calling us Communists before it’s over with.” Well, yeah! Socialism? Tax increases on everyone? So this will be the message of the Democrats in 2020? The 2020 Democrat Presidential Nomination Battle is going to be a thing to behold! Bring it on!

A few months before he became President Trump's top economic advisor, Larry Kudlow wrote a column urging Trump to index capital gains taxes to inflation. Thankfully, the Trump administration appears to be listening. Not only would indexing fix a glaring problem in the tax code, it would add still more juice to the economy. In a column published by IBD last August, Kudlow called the lack of inflation adjustment for capital gains taxes "an unfair and misguided policy that punishes risk and success." He said Trump "should use his executive authority — as he so often has to drain the...

Whatever teen anti-gun celebrity David Hogg learned in high school, it apparently wasn’t the English language. It’s that, or he actually wants to increase the number of gun deaths in inner-city communities. Either way, the poster boy for the gun-grabbing left is showing all the world just how confused and ignorant he really is. In recent a Twitter exchange with a conservative commentator, Hogg let his ignorance slip with a colossally nonsensical argument for the left’s favorite economic policy: Raising the minimum wage.

RUSH: Man, oh, man. How do we outdo yesterday’s program? I’m not sure I can top it. And, folks, I have to tell you, I was… I shouldn’t admit this, but I had more butterflies than usual starting about two hours before the program because I’m so uncomfortable. I really am. I’m uncomfortable bringing the focus on me. I have no problem when other people do it, I just… (sigh) Yet I’m aware what a lot of people think. Thirty years is a significant achievement. So it was… (exhale) It was pressure packed, and it turned out better than I...

News that American workers pay and benefits are now rising at a faster pace than any time during the Obama years has sparked fear in the Democratic Party. The proclaimed "future" of the Party Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, recent winner of the Democratic congressional primary in Brooklyn, New York, sees this development as "a direct threat to our democracy. The GOP scheme to boost the working class into the ranks of higher income is intended to undermine their support for the Democratic Party." "A key to bringing the benefits of socialism to America is the class solidarity among the workers," Ocasio-Cortez said....

President Donald Trump’s most powerful weapon is what makes him Big Government Democrats’ worst nightmare and the trait that most baffles Establishment Republicans who don't have it. .... (quoting Bill Hobbs' Facebook essay) .... "Donald Trump instinctively knows almost immediately where his opponent's jugular vein is, and that is where he attacks, and that is where he exerts the most pressure and the most leverage to get the best deal." "For example, in the primary, Jeb Bush was the odds-on favorite to win. He had the money, the Establishment, the résumé, and the name. All of the other candidates tried...

"We want the report to be a reality check." It certainly is. In March The Brennan Center for Justice (BCJ) delivered some bad news to Democrats hoping to retake the House and reinstalling Babbling Nancy Pelosi as the next Speaker. Aside from the scary news itself, the reason for the scary news should put a smile on the face of Americans concerned about the life of our nation. Without even knowing how insanely far to the left the Democrats would have moved five months later, the BCJ report titled "Extreme Gerrymandering & the 2018 Midterm," makes it clear that the...

Ohio is an important swing state in next week's presidential election, and if Donald Trump fails to win the state, his path toward victory is very narrow. That's why AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka was in the state making sure that working people know how important their vote is. Here is some of the media coverage of Trumka's visit:Toledo Blade: "Before volunteers spent their time canvassing local neighborhoods to urge those to vote, which consisted of two three-hour shifts, Mr. Trumka, president of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), stopped by in support of Hillary Clinton...

Yesterday, President Donald Trump and Republican leaders in Congress released their new tax plan. AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka responded to the proposal: The tax plan Republicans put out [yesterday] is nothing but a con game, and working people are the ones they’re trying to con. Here we go again. First comes the promise that tax giveaways for the wealthy and big corporations will trickle down to the rest of us. Then comes the promise that tax cuts will pay for themselves. Then comes the promise that they want to stop offshoring. And finally, we find out none of these things...

Statement by AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka in response to the Republican tax bill passing the Senate: The GOP tax bill that passed the Senate by one vote is nothing but an attack on America’s workers. We will pay more, corporations and billionaires will pay less. It’s a job killer. It gives billions of tax giveaways to big corporations that outsource jobs and profits. President Trump said that he wanted to lower taxes for everyone as a Christmas gift to America, but this bill is simply a lump of coal to working families across the country. The only real gift is...

President Donald Trump has made it clear that immigration will be a major campaign issue for him, in both the midterm elections and in his own re-election bid, and that was evident at the president’s rally in Florida on Tuesday. “Republicans want strong borders and no crime. Democrats want open borders, which equals massive crime,” he said. “And on top of that, the Democrats…they’ve launched outrageous attacks on our incredible law enforcement officers and on ICE and our Border Patrol — can you believe it? People that keep us safe.” Trump said Democrats, in their pursuit of open borders, also...

This morning, the Bureau of Economic Analysis posted HUGE revisions to May's estimate of consumer spending (and very solid numbers to the first June estimate.) BEA now says consumer spending grew 0.5% in May. If it was exactly 0.5%, that would mean an annual growth rate of 6% for the month. This is an update from a passable but unexciting 0.2% initial estimate. This did not take any growth away from the June consumer spending figure. In other words, it wasn't simply that growth simply took place earlier. Rather, there was more growth: June's spending growth reached the strong 0.4%...
