Following the release of multiple undercover Planned Parenthood videos, I sat down with Abby Johnson, a former director of the organization. Now this isn’t just some cable news soundbite, this is a long-form interview where, if you listen to her, you can actually really learn something. In it she covers – The “up-sell”. Where PP employees were encouraged to try and tack on additional services to an already in-process abortion. Like used car salesman. – The actual percentage of annual PP funding that comes from abortions vs “women’s health care”. HINT: it’s mostly abortions. – The ultrasound that converted her...

Even golfing can be a tearjerker of a subject for Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), who’s known for frequently dispensing waterworks. “I wanted to make sure that every kid had the same chance I did — an opportunity,” Boehner, with tears filling his eyes, says in a promotional spot for The Golf Channel show, “Feherty.” Another clip from the program, which airs Aug. 3., shows Boehner telling host David Feherty about a photo of him and some companions that sits in his office, saying, “The three of us are talking about how easily we turn to tears.” Boehner — who’s gotten...

In Carly Fiorina’s interview with Katie Couric from May, Fiorina went on and on about how if you don’t have a room full of “diversity” when making an important decision, you will not get the decision right. For Fiorina, it’s all about hiring women (and of course anyone else who isn’t a straight white male), and she goes on at length insisting that women in top positions absolutely and necessarily equates to merit; guarantees merit — the same thing Hillary Clinton just said, by the way. I had been inclined very favorably toward Fiorina, especially because of her ability to...

Your new book is called ‘‘A Time for Truth: Reigniting the Promise of America.’’ A few months ago you were in the news for warning a little girl that ‘‘the world is on fire.’’ Do you believe setting things on fire is good or bad? Both. I am a passionate believer in the fire of liberty. Indeed, I have encouraged young people to become arsonists, spreading the fire of liberty. Now that said, the world being on fire is not a good thing.

Former Clinton White House special counsel Lanny Davis hung up on Newsmax TV host Steve Malzberg Friday after the host grilled him over Hillary Clinton’s email scandal. The Newsmax TV host opened up the interview by bringing up the fact that Clinton claimed that she never received a subpoena over her emails, even though Rep. Trey Gowdy revealed on Wednesday that Clinton did indeed receive one in March. Davis went on the defensive immediately, telling Malzberg that Clinton was referring to not getting one prior to her giving her emails to the State Department. “Why did Hillary say she never...

Embarrassing: CNN is a news channel devoid of substance, interviewing a presidential candidate devoid of any rationale for her candidacy I don’t know why Hillary ever worried about answering questions from the press if these were the kinds of questions she was going to get. Good night. CNN’s Brianna Keller certainly knows how to snag an exclusive interview with someone who can’t stand accountability under any circumstances. Just don’t ask substantive questions. Benghazi? What’s that? The Russian “reset”? Old news! The trade deal she now pretends to oppose but relentlessly advocated as Secretary of State? Mere esoterica! The private e-mail...

Hillary Clinton has decided to make herself more available to the media and will begin doing national television interviews in the next week. She reached this decision after an internal debate and the move is supported by many top campaign officials, along with her husband, Clinton insiders say. “She’s all on board,” Jennifer Palmieri, the campaign’s communications director, told me in an interview. “America will see more of her.” Palmieri played down the notion that the interviews, along with plans to take more questions from reporters on the trail, amount to a risky strategy. “She does fine,” Palmieri says. “That...

Is Obama up to the challenge? By now, you’re probably familiar with CJ Pearson. He’s a self-described “conservative activist” from Georgia whose Obama-eviscerating YouTube videos have racked up well over 2 million views. He’s also black. ...And he’s 12 Years Old. Just last week, he released a clip attacking the President’s eagerness to exploit tragedy in the service of the left’s long-standing gun control agenda. That video alone has over half a million hits and it’s still trending. Yesterday, he appeared again. This time, he spoke directly to President Obama, and he threw down the gauntlet. CJ Pearson has challenged...

HOWELL, Mich. (WJBK) - GOP Presidential hopeful Ted Cruz brought his campaign to Howell tonight where 650 people applauded his conservative Texas principles. The senator spoke about unions, said he did not back federal assistance to keep GM and Chrysler alive and spoke about the right to carry guns on school grounds. He also made a remark about Vice President Joe Biden, which he later apologized for, on Twitter. "Union members are a plus for this country," he said. "It's very interesting, but union members have been left behind. "(President) Barack Obama, (Senate Democratic Leader) Harry Reid and Hillary Clinton have...

US President Barack Obama gave an interview with Israeli media on Tuesday, in which he threatened that an Israeli refusal to renew peace talks with the Palestinian Authority (PA) will "make it hard" for the US to veto motions in the UN against Israel. In an interview with Ilana Dayan for Channel 2's "Uvda" (Fact) TV show aired Tuesday night, Obama commented on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's statements before elections in which he said that a Palestinian state won't be founded on his watch. Obama noted that later Netanyahu distanced from the statement and "suggested that there is the possibility...

This interview by Mark Halperin with Ted Cruz is a shocking example of liberal double standards. Cruz, a Cuban American, was targeted by Halperin for being an "inauthentic" Hispanic - I guess because he's a conservative Republican. But the insulting, demeaning questions by Halperin asking Cruz to "prove" his genuineness elicited a ringing denunciation from Rueben Navarette: Watching Mark Halperin of Bloomberg Politics interview Cruz recently, I wasn't just uncomfortable. I was actually nauseated. As a journalist, I felt embarrassed for Halperin. As a Hispanic, I felt like I was watching a college fraternity have fun with racial stereotypes,...

David Alan Stockman interviewed on CBS-TV 60 Minutes (October 2010) Highlights of recent interview by Harry Dent. David Stockman: People don't want to hear the reality and the truth that we're facing. But I think there is an enormous appetite out in the country to get a different perspective than what you have from the media day in and day out, so I say the fed is out of control. Its balance sheet is exploded. It's printing money like never before. Zero interest rates for 70 months have basically destroyed the pricing function in the financial markets. I said...

Behind a small desk sits the chair Cheney occupied for eight years as vice president in the White House, and above the white-trimmed fireplace hang three framed swords. One was a gift from the cadets at West Point when Cheney was secretary of defense; the second came from the U.S. Marine Corps commandant when Cheney was guest of honor at the Marine Corps ball two months after 9/11; the third belonged to Samuel Fletcher Cheney, the vice president’s great-grandfather, who fought for the Union in the Civil War—enduring 34 battles, some of the conflict’s bloodiest fighting—only to lose part of...

Last week, Rorate Caeli interviewed Raymond Cardinal Burke via telephone on numerous topics. Nothing was off the table for this interview and His Eminence was incredibly generous with his time. He showed himself to be brilliant and yet filled with humility. And his care and concern for traditional Catholics must be acknowledged and appreciated. In this wide-ranging interview, His Eminence talked about issues ripped from the news such as: Vatican officials threatening to sue bloggers; more priests coming under his authority; the dismantling of the Franciscans of the Immaculate; how traditional Catholics can save their souls in this modern world...

ST. LOUIS • Tom Schweich, Missouri's Republican state auditor and a leading contender for the governor's office in next year's election, has died, according to his office. Earlier in the day, a police source said Schweich had sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The police source said Schweich's wife was in another room of their house when she heard her husband making phone calls, followed by a single gunshot. He was 54. His death was confirmed by his office early Thursday afternoon, just hours after Schweich had requested an interview with reporters for the Post-Dispatch and the Associated Press at his...
