<p>A lawyer representing a parent who sued Captain Shreve High School and the Caddo Parish school system has asked that the Captain Shreve principal be put on leave until system officials investigate the handling of an October discipline incident.</p>
<p>Melanie Christy is seeking an unspecified amount of damages because her son, Justin Christy, was suspended and then expelled after a fifth of Kentucky Deluxe whiskey fell from his backpack and shattered on the floor during class on Oct. 6, 2003. Justin was a senior.</p>
