  • Kenya demands UN move massive refugee camp

    04/11/2015 4:36:45 PM PDT · by BenLurkin · 20 replies
The Kenyan government has given the UN three months to relocate the world's largest refugee camp over the border to Somalia. Nairobi has vowed a tough response following the recent massacre by Somali jihadists. The United Nations Dadaab camp in northeast Kenya houses hundreds of thousands of refugees from war-torn Somalia, and authorities have in the past accused Islamists of hiding within the camp. "We have asked the UNHCR to relocate the refugees in three months, failure to which we shall relocate them ourselves," Deputy President William Ruto said in a statement on Saturday, adding that the government will secure...

At the White House Easter Prayer Breakfast this week, President Obama addressed a room full of Christian leaders. What was clearly scripted to be a general Easter address came dangerously close to political posturing. During his remarks, the President shared that, “on Easter, I do reflect on the fact that as a Christian, I am supposed to love. And I have to say that sometimes when I listen to less than loving expressions by Christians, I get concerned. But that's a topic for another day.” What followed was spirited laughter, as Obama’s quip was largely understood as a reference to...

Last week, as radical Islamists slaughtered 148 Christian students at a Kenyan university, America’s faithful celebrated Easter and Passover in tranquility, demonstrating why religious liberty is not the eccentric uncle in the human-rights family — it’s the matriarch. Yet with demonic evil spanning the globe, and religion a life-and-death matter, punishment for defending one’s faith is now acceptable in America. Our “live and let live” ethic is increasingly imperiled. Witness the firestorm after Indiana became the 20th state to enact its version of the 1993 Religious Freedom Restoration Act. In our morally upside-down world, we accommodate the nuclear ambitions of...

As millions of Christians around the world were celebrating Easter Sunday, the Christians of the Muslim world were again under attack. The April 2 Islamic jihad attack on a Kenyan school—where the Islamic murderers made sure to slaughter only Christian students, sparing fellow Muslims—was only the most spectacular attack.

From The Christian Post I learned another horrible thing about terrorists of the Religion of Peace. As the death toll from the Garissa University College massacre climbed to 148 Friday, eyewitness accounts from survivors revealed a harrowing picture of how students were made to wait in line to be shot in the head. Some were even forced to make calls to their parents to tell them they were about to die.The family of 20-year-old Garissa student, Elizabeth Namarome Musinai, told Yahoo News that she called her father during the attack at dawn on Thursday and said: “There are gunshots everywhere! Tell Mum to...

Kenyan authorities had intelligence that a university in Garissa could be attacked, but after the alarm sounded during last week's massacre, the country's rapid response team was stuck in Nairobi for hours arranging for transport, a police source told CNN on Monday. It's not clear why the elite team was stuck in the Kenyan capital, roughly 370 kilometers (230 miles) west of the attack, but the police source in Garissa said that Kenyan politicians and Nairobi-based journalists arrived on the scene before the team did. Journalists on the ground corroborated that report.

NAIROBI, April 5 (Xinhua) -- Kenyan authorities on Sunday revealed the identity of one of the terrorists who attacked Garisa University college on Thursday. The spokesman in the Ministry of Interior Mwenda Njoka named Abdirahim Abdullahi, the son of a Mandera chief, as one of the four terrorist. He was also a law graduate from the University of Nairobi. Abdullahi was positively identified by family and friends. He disappeared from Kenya in 2013 and his family and security officials suspected he had joined the Al-Shabaab.

US President Barack Obama called Kenya's leader and vowed to stand "hand-in-hand" with its government and people Friday, as they reel from an Islamist attack that killed 148 university students and security officers. "Words cannot adequately condemn the terrorist atrocities that took place at Garissa University College, where innocent men and women were brazenly and brutally massacred," Obama said.

“We have come to be kill and be killed,” the Muslims screamed out as they shot the Christians. Where did they get the idea to scream out something like that? From the Qur’an: “Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed.” (9:111) Not that this has anything to do with Islam! Piles of bodies and pools of blood running down the corridors: survivors of the Kenya university massacre described how laughing gunmen taunted their victims amid scenes...

Somalia's Islamic extremist group al-Shabab warned Saturday of more attacks in Kenya like the assault on Garissa University College that killed 148 people. "Kenyan cities will run red with blood," said al-Shabab according to the SITE intelligence monitoring group. The Islamic militants said the attack on Garissa college was in retaliation for killings carried out by Kenyan troops fighting the rebels in Somalia. "No amount of precaution or safety measures will be able to guarantee your safety, thwart another attack or prevent another bloodbath," said al-Shabab.

When al-Shabaab militants stormed University College of Garissa early on Thursday morning no one knew that by the end of the day 148 would be dead, constituting Kenya’s deadliest terrorist attack in 17 years. What most Kenyans did know is that they had lost faith in their government’s ability to keep Kenya safe from al-Shabaab’s increasingly deadly presence. Since 2011, it is estimated that more than 300 people have been killed by terrorist attacks in Kenya. “This is an issue of security and the government. It’s not an issue that is starting now—it’s been an issue that has been going...

Bloodthirsty Islamic terrorists raided a university in eastern Kenya on Thursday, singling out Christians and sparing those praying at a campus mosque as they slaughtered up to 150 people, authorities said. An estimated 79 additional students were wounded in the dawn attack, for which the Somalia-based group al-Shabaab took responsibility. “Sisi ni al-Shabaab!” the gunmen shouted — Swahili for “We are al-Shabaab!” — as they shot their way past armed guards and ambushed the 815-student Garissa University campus. The same group was responsible for the deadly raid on Nairobi’s Westgate Mall in 2013.... Al-Shabaab is notorious for singling out non-Muslims...

Militants say they have released all Muslims but are "holding many Christians alive" after storming a university in Kenya. Hostages have been taken by masked terrorists who have killed at least 70 people after storming a university in eastern Kenya, the country's interior minister said. Two police officers are among the dead following heavy gunfire and explosions in a campus building at Garissa University. At least 79 others have been wounded. Interior minister Joseph Nkaissery claimed the siege was almost over. "We are mopping up the area," he told reporters. Somalia's al Shabaab militant group has claimed responsibility for the...

Al-Shabaab terrorists interrogated students whether they were Christian or Muslim as they went door-to-door during this morning's early morning massacre at a Kenyan university, killing at least 15 people. The group raided the Garissa University campus shortly after 5am local time, overwhelming guards and killing anyone the suspected of being a Christian. Kenyan Interior Minister Joseph Nkaissery said that only 280 of the 815 students in the college have so far been accounted for. The terrorists stuck mid-way through Holy Week, the most solemn period in the Christian calendar. Tonight, the Christian students were planning to celebrate the Last Supper...

At least 14 people have been killed, but a spokesman for the jihadis said, “We’ve killed many people; Kenyans will be shocked when the go inside.” The Muslims were freed. Time for the Left and the Islamic supremacists to issue another report about rampant “Islamophobia,” so as to deflect attention from this. “Kenya Garissa University shooting: At least 14 dead after al-Shabaab terrorists storm campus and separate Muslim and Christian students,” by Heather Saul, the Independent, April 2, 2015:

Barack Obama will make a long-awaited return to Kenya this July, visiting his father's homeland for the first time since becoming US president, the White House announced Monday. During the much-delayed visit, Obama will attend a summit to encourage entrepreneurship and meet the country's controversial leader Uhuru Kenyatta. Obama's late father was from a small village near the shores of Lake Victoria. He met Obama's white American mother in Hawaii, where they had a son before divorcing.
