It never ceases to amaze me just how disconnected from reality some liberals are. They fight tooth and nail for something or on some point, win, then a few years later, when circumstances have changed, they fight for the exact opposite thing like their original victory never occurred. They insist they are the “party of science,” and demand anything decreed by people in lab coats be adhered to, then deny the most basic elements of biology. It’s beyond hypocrisy, it’s insanity. After a pro-life bill was passed in Alabama, the left lost their collective mind. Beyond calling for “sex strikes” and...

Rich Lowery finds himself surprised that a former Democratic Vice-Presidential Candidate just got compared to David Duke. While I enjoy schadenfreude as much as the next guy, I wasn’t particularly shocked or surprised. I had two initial reactions. First, the Dems should relax. This was Kieth Olbermann making the comparison; as opposed to a rational human being. Secondly, this is nothing new to American politics; it’s just a long-term trend, bulked up on HGH. However, when I give it more thought, the Democrats and the Republicans are not self-destructing under the weight of their own warring factions. They are being...

SPRING GREEN, United States (AFP) - Democratic presidential challenger John Kerry (news - web sites) appealed for an end to the TV advertising war that has marked his election battle against President George W. Bush (news - web sites). Kerry said the avalanche of negative television spots and attacks being shown on US screens was scaring off voters. ***More like kicking his Butt. "Americans need a real conversation over our future," Kerry said in a speech at a school in Spring Green, Wisconsin. "What they don't need is all these trumped up advertisements, they just make people curl up and...

Houston radio station would Rather not air Dan 03:27 PM CDT on Monday, September 27, 2004 Associated Press HOUSTON -- Dan Rather’s daily CBS radio broadcast is off the air where he grew up. Houston CBS radio affiliate KPRC hasn’t been running it for the last couple weeks in reaction to his “60 Minutes” report questioning President Bush’s National Guard service. * AP “I felt no anchor ... should ever be the story or bigger than the story,” Ken Charles, program director of the news-talk station, said Monday. “I thought it was appropriate to take him off the air.” Rather...

Unlike McCain, Bush, and Gore,,,,Kerry has adamantly refused to authorize the release of his military records. Most think it's because of his phony battle medals. I think the real reason is below. He was not granted an Honorable Discharge until March 2001, almost 30 years after his ostensible service term had ended! This is very much out of the ordinary, and highly suspect. There are 5 classes of Discharge: Honorable, General, Other Than Honorable, Bad Conduct, and Dishonorable. My guess is that he was Discharged in the '70s, but not Honorably. He appealed this sometime while Clinton was doing trouser-tricks...

More and more celebrities using fame to back causes 12/26/2002 Associated Press NEW YORK - From the moment Sean Penn arrived in Baghdad, eager to advance the cause of peace, he was doomed - a dead man talking. He was a celebrity, like so many other celebrities who have waded into the treacherous waters of politics or international relations. So he walked gingerly - he was there, he said, "to learn and not to teach." He avoided reporters. And he was careful not to say or do anything that would cause a meltdown at home. So the Iraqis did...
