It seems our over-worked President is off on another vacation … this time for over two weeks – seventeen days, to be exact. It seems only yesterday he was on vacation in Massachusetts. Wait! That WAS earlier this year, but it was only eleven days at Martha’s Vineyard. One would have to surmise that ruining a country is stressful for Obama. It must be all his leading from behind that does it. Why do we not hear the cries “Imperial Presidency” from the Mainstream Media these days? Two reasons: Obama is not a republican – and — Obama is a...

I know it's off-season, but it seems likely that dozens of law-breaking occupiers could grab AND MAINTAIN the attention of the rich if they camped out at places like Martha's Vineyard. The rich would be concerned for their vacation homes 24/7. When they wreak havoc in business districts, bOWSers* are inconveniencing the middle class and the poor, not the super rich.*bOWSers = packs of mangey, untrained critters who follow after schoolchildren, attack police, spread disease, defecate in public.

People who rail against “fat cats” shouldn’t vacation with them.By Sunday afternoon, the Gallup tracking poll showed a 17-point spread in the president’s approval rating — 38 percent approval to 55 percent disapproval. Such polls are fickle and can go up and down quickly, often depending on unwarranted and unfair perceptions and media hype, hinging on everything from hurricanes to killing bin Laden. That said, these recent abysmal numbers might suggest that for the first time, a considerable number of Americans are starting to be turned off not just by Barack Obama’s economic policies, but by Barack Obama himself. But...

President Barack Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and their daughters Sasha and Malia walk from Marine One to board Air Force One, Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at Cape Cod Coast Guard Air Station in Bourne, Mass., en route to Washington after a family vacation on Martha's Vineyard.

FULL TITLE: Plenty of room for the buckets and spades! The Obama motorcade hits the beach (and Michelle dons headphones instead of listening to her husband) As the East Coast awaits the full wrath of Hurricane Irene, the first family clearly are not letting it get in the way of a little leisure time in Martha's Vineyard. President Obama, his wife Michelle and their daughters took to the beach Thursday afternoon in a 12-strong motorcade. With so many vehicles, there was plenty of room for the towels, beach balls, bucket and spades and other seaside necessities. The President and First...

Taking his own advice not to linger at the beach, President Barack Obama cut short his family's vacation on Martha's Vineyard and headed back to Washington late on Friday to await the landfall of a Hurricane Irene, which he warned could be an 'historic' storm. Joined by his wife, Michelle, and daughters Malia and Sasha, Mr Obama boarded his Marine One helicopter at the island's airport and took off for Cape Cod, where Air Force One then took them back to Washington. White House spokesman Josh Earnest said the president felt it prudent to be back in Washington when Irene...

Barack Obama’s misadventures in Martha’s Vineyard are some of the stranger unforced public-relations errors in recent memory. Spending a fortune to jet off to a fabled playground of the rich, while the country suffers from his recessionary economic policies, was a bizarre slap in the face to an electorate that has already come to view this President as arrogant and out-of-touch. “Optics” matter. Camp David is a nice vacation spot, too. Naturally, Obama played a lot of golf on vacation. Part of the problem with skipping off to the golf course so frequently is that when he plays a lot...

The White House says President Barack Obama is cutting his Martha's Vineyard vacation short because of Hurricane Irene. He'll return to Washington on Friday night instead of Saturday afternoon. Spokesman Josh Earnest says Obama made the decision shortly after urging Americans in Hurricane Irene's path to heed warnings about the storm. Earnest says Obama decided it would be more prudent for him to be at the White House at the end of the day, instead of in the New England area.

VINEYARD HAVEN, Mass. - Hurricane Irene accomplished what an uprising in Libya and a sour economy could not: Force President Barack Obama to cut his Martha Vineyard's vacation short. White House spokesman Josh Earnest announced Friday that Obama would return to Washington tonight, saying the president "felt it was prudent to be at the White House" as the hurricane makes landfall.

The Obamas' summer break in Martha's Vineyard has already been branded a PR disaster after the couple arrived four hours apart on separate government jets. But according to new reports, this is the least of their extravagances. White House sources today claimed that the First Lady has spent $10million of U.S. taxpayers' money on vacations alone in the past year. Branding her 'disgusting' and 'a vacation junkie', they say the 47-year-old mother-of-two has been indulging in five-star hotels, where she splashes out on expensive massages and alcohol. The 'top source' told the National Enquirer: 'It's disgusting. Michelle is taking advantage...

After a couple of Golf outings in which the President deliberately skipped some holes to avoid TV cameras and photographers, Mr. Obama apparently came to the conclusion that, in his attempts to avoid unfavorable press, he was actually doing more harm, than good, to his public image and persona. Hence, on Tuesday, the President begrudgingly permitted members of the White House Press pool to snap some photographs of him on the Golf course, at least for a short while, which afforded them with barely enough time to see him play one hole... The Politico’s Carrie Budoff Brown reported: The pool...

Barack Obama skipped the 8th hole rather than be filmed by TV crews at the Vineyard Golf Course on Friday. The Boston Globe reported: But it was later, at the Vineyard Golf Course in Edgartown, where the president’s recalcitrance was most evident. Approaching the eighth tee in a golf cart with friend and frequent golfing buddy Eric Whitaker, the president noticed three TV cameras and a Globe photographer across the street. Rather than stop and be photographed teeing off, the president skipped the hole.

The Boston Globe reported that when Obama [on Friday] approached "the eighth tee in a golf cart with friend and frequent golfing buddy Eric Whitaker," he "noticed three TV cameras and a Globe photographer across the street. Although a lot has been said about the timing of President Barack Obama’s vacation to Martha’s Vineyard, not much has been said about the spot itself, other than criticism about the tone deafness of a president vacationing at a haven for the well-to-do while so many Americans are struggling financially. On his Friday radio program, radio talk show host Mark Levin took a look at the racial make-up of the Obama vacation spot and likened it to the left-leaning MSNBC cable news network. “But what about on Martha’s Vineyard?” Levin said. “I’m just asking. Doesn’t Martha’s Vineyard kind of reflect...

Before it had even started in earnest, the much-maligned vacation became a PR nightmare, after it emerged this morning that he and his wife took separate government jets to Martha's Vineyard just hours apart. Michelle Obama was revealed to have arrived at the Massachusetts retreat, only 500 miles from Washington, four hours before her husband yesterday. ... The extra transport to get the the First Lady to the island for only a few more hours of vacation time will have cost taxpayers thousands in additional expenses. The costs related to Mrs Obama’s solo trip mainly include the flight on the...

President and Mrs. Obama are sharing in the sacrifice tonight at the Beach Plum Restaurant on Martha’s Vineyard, which features an array of overpriced selections for the first couple to choose from that could easily bring the bill within the range of $200. They might, for example, choose to start the meal with a $15 chunk of pizza cheese – I’m sorry, “Fresh Mozzarella” with “Fresh Basil, vine ripened tomatoes, aged balsamic reduction, and chive dill.” This is a good mix because some things are fresh, and some things are aged. But the sacrifice really gets serious with the entree,...

EXCERPT: After going upstairs and looking around the store, Obama was seen holding five or six books, including "Brave New World" and "The Bayou Trilogy." He went to the cashier after Malia and Sasha had picked out some books of their own, but disagreed with the $32 price he was quoted, which seemed low for the size of his stack. He paid by credit card, telling the cashiers that he uses it only about three times a year. (...)

Let’s be fair here. The President must be exhausted. And why not? Consider: He’s just spent 3 solid days on board one of the most luxurious buses you and I could possibly pay for. Correct me if I’m wrong, but did he get even ONE round of golf in during the past 3 days? I don’t think so. It gets worse: The travel agency that booked this 3-day tour – for some reason – did NOT book him into any urban areas where blacks and Hispanics are suffering from unemployment rates as much as two or three times the national...
