As Donald Trump continues to surge forward as the most-likely Republican nominee, perfectly sane people are beginning to wonder: "Was there something we missed? Maybe he’s not really so bad." Shed that self-doubt and purge the thought. You're not wrong - and he's that bad. Just ask the Breitbart reporter who was roughed up at a recent Trump rally. And she’s one of the "good" people. Imagine what happens to his critics once a Trump presidency takes shape.

Syrians living in rebel-held areas of Homs province have seen a lot of destruction in four years of war, but say the Russian air force unleashed a whole new level of devastation in air strikes on their towns on Wednesday. Jets flying at higher altitudes than the Syrian air force emitted no noise to alert the people below to raids reported to have killed at least 33 civilians, including children. "We have been exposed to a wide range of weapons over the last five years, but what happened today was absolutely the most violent and ferocious, and the most comprehensive...

Fiscal Irresponsibility: Just how out of touch is President Obama? In the midst of a faltering economy and rising global threats, he proposes a budget that would sharply cut defense spending and impose $1.8 trillion in tax hikes. Despite its relative insignificance in the grand scheme of things, the annual White House budget proposal does provide a window into the president's thinking on the size and scope of government. The fiscal 2015 budget — released a month late on Tuesday — also manages to showcase Obama's worrisome detachment from reality. The budget rests, for example, on the assumption that real...

The demise of the Tea Party movement has been predicted since its inception in early 2009. There has been a non-stop demonization of the movement led by Democrats and the media, but frequently joined by party Republicans.**snip**Here’s another headline, based on the data in the AP-GfK poll, you probably will not see: Most Americans agree with Tea Party on debt ceiling increase You read that right. 41% of those surveyed said the debt ceiling should be raised only if conditioned on significant budget cuts plus another 10% who said it should not be raised for any reason. **snip**Here’s another headline,...

Great grassy knoll!--I was merely mildly intrigued by some magnified still frames posted right after it happened, but if you stay with this guy's video for a minute it IS very compelling. You can see an adult's head bending down.

More people support the Tea Party than consider themselves liberal, and almost 3/4 of the electorate does not oppose the Tea Party. That’s not the headline you will see, of course. Instead, Gallup headlines its story about its most recent polling to emphasize the negative about Tea Party support, Tea Party Support Dwindles to Near-Record Low. Gallup:Tea Party Support Dwindles to Near-Record Low There’s only one brief time period when opposition to the Tea Party was significantly lower, but opposition now is right in the 25-29% range it’s typically been in. Tea Party support is significantly lower than three years...

I expect more Gosnell political cartoons will roll out this week, but here are the first three. I’m also including two flashbacks from January 30, 2011, when the Gosnell mass murders were first publicized. Does a shadowy group of obscenely wealthy elitists control the world? Do men and women with enormous amounts of money really run the world from behind the scenes? The answer might surprise you. Most of us tend to think of money as a convenient way to conduct transactions, but the truth is that it also represents power and control. And today we live in a neo-fuedalist system in which the super rich pull all the strings. When I am talking about the ultra-wealthy, I am not just talking about people that have a few million dollars. As you will see...

In making his case for re-election in the face of historically high unemployment and sluggish growth, President Obama has a simple and straightforward argument. Things were terrible when I arrived, he says, thanks to Bush-era policies of tax cuts and deregulation. We stopped the decline, but the ditch was so deep that it will take time to get out. Still, we are making progress, even if it isn't as fast as everyone would like. So the last thing we want to do is return to the failed Bush policies that, he says, drove us into the ditch. That argument appears...
