A woman who was blinded when a scorned lover threw acid in her eyes has the chance to get a gruesome revenge today. A court in Iran has given permission for 32 year-old Ameneh Bahrami to get her own back by pouring acid in the eyes of her attacker, a fellow student at Tehran University. The court's OId Testament ruling - an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth - has sparked controversy even in Iran where medieval justice still holds sway. But Ameneh still appears bent on revenge.

Police said four white students at Central York Middle School used racial slurs and harrassed a black student while they rode home on a school bus Friday afternoon. Springettsbury Township Police were called to the school Monday morning to investigate a report of harrassment on the bus. The 13-year old white boys "verbally and physically harrassed and intimidated" a 13-year old black boy, using racial slurs as the bus took the students home, police said. One of the Church of England's most senior bishops says he fears Islamic extremists are creating "no-go areas" across Britain for non-Muslims. The right Reverend Michael Nazir-Ali, the Church's only Asian bishop, says people of a different race or faith face being attacked in some Muslim areas. Last week I focused on how high school students are being radicalized against "hate" and in favor of "diversity." THE typical blond, blue-eyed lifesaver is being challenged by a Victorian Government program to get people from a variety of ethnic backgrounds involved in the volunteer service. "There have been a number of incidents of property damage in the past hour-and-a-half that included broken windows and damage to motor vehicles," he said.
