DISCOVERING GOD Tomorrow many will enjoy a day off to celebrate Columbus Day. Columbus day is a legal holiday that we, as North Americans along with Latin Americans, celebrate the landing of Columbus in the Bahamas in 1492. Because of this discovery, a country, the United States of America, would come into existence based upon a pursuit of God Jehovah and the right to worship as we please. "Admiral Byrd, the explorer, one day was passing through the lobby of a hotel when a large company of people commenced cheering him. Two men were joining...
  • Obama lead down to 2 in Wisconsin

PPP's newest Wisconsin poll finds a big debate bump for Mitt Romney in the state. Two weeks ago he trailed Barack Obama by 7 points there, 52-45. Now he's pulled to within two points, with Obama's lead now just 49-47. There's not much doubt it was Romney's strong debate performance on Wednesday night that's given him this boost. Voters think he won the debate by a 61/25 margin, including a 60/19 margin with independents. 95% of Republicans think Romney won the debate, while only 50% of Democrats claim to think Obama was the winner. Romney's image has seen significant improvement...
  • Is a donor scandal about to rattle the Obama campaign?

    10/06/2012 4:56:03 PM PDT · by chessplayer · 41 replies
As Katie Pavlich posted on October 5, the Obama campaign is about to get rocked by a fundraising scandal involving “taxes and foreign donors.” Pavlich wrote that since “billionaires like George Soros support him and considering Hollywood is partially controlled by European money, naturally Obama has foreign support. Obama’s economic philosophy is also similar to European style resdistribution of wealth, which is why French President Francois Hollande supports him.” This development comes after Obama raised $181 million dollars for the month of September. As Allapundit noted yesterday, that’s a lot of donors. If there wasn’t anything to hide then why...

Barack Obama has always been less real than dream—a media dream. Even before his inauguration, Barack Obama was an imaginary man, the creation of his admirers. Think back to the 2008 Time magazine cover depicting him as FDR, the Newsweek cover of the same year on which he was shown casting Lincoln’s shadow, or the $1.4 million Nobel Peace Prize awarded to him “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”—this in 2009, less than a year after he had taken office. It was not that Obama had done nothing to deserve these outsized comparisons and...

  • Cutter: Okay Fine, We've Been Lying About Romney's Tax Plan

One of the strongest elements of Mitt Romney's spectacular debate performance was his decisive rejoinder to the president's oft-repeated allegation that the Republican plans to raise taxes on middle class families.  Obama said Romney has designs on an unpaid-for $5 trillion tax cut that would eventually necessitate higher tax bills for average Americans.  Romney flatly rejected the claim by calling it false, then explained what he actually has in mind.  But the president returned to the "$5 trillion" well on several subsequent occasions, prompting more rebuttals from his challenger.  FactCheck.org and CNN reviewed Obama's accusation, and found it wanting.  "Not...

The Obama campaign has been reeling since losing the first Presidential debate of this election cycle in front of 67 million viewers. They've tried--and thus far failed--to craft a narrative to explain away the debacle in Denver. Previously, we reported to you that Obama Senior Advisor David Plouffe, who ran the President's successful 2008 campaign, (falsely) accused Mitt Romney of lying. In a rare comedic moment from the typically robotic former Vice President Al Gore, he suggested on Current TV that the Mile High City's altitude was the reason Obama was low on energy and enthusiasm. Neither of those caught...

The New Yorker goes Eastwood:   Back to you, Dirty Harry:  Full Clint Eastwood speech 2012 Republican National Convention RNC Mitt RomneyAs I mentioned last night, some liberals are pretty angry that Obama wasn't allowed to drag TOTUS onto the debate stage on Wednesday:   This is what Republicans are up against. UPDATE - Rasmussen's Saturday tracker shows a four-point bounce for Romney, who now leads 49-47 among likely voters nationwide.  The better news?  Only 2/3 of that rolling poll was taken after the debate, so he has room to expand his advantage.

Conservative Catholic activists, facing polls that show President Obama gaining among the famously politically split church community, are striking back at the White House with more than 1 million voter guides that fail the president on seven key religious liberty issues. Angered by Obama's demand that religious facilities provide health insurance that includes abortion services despite their pro-life principles, the new voter guide grades the president with an "F," and Mitt Romney with an "A."The new Catholic Association(PDF) voter guide does not include abortion, good for Romney who has shifted over time to be pro-life. The focus instead is on...
  • Even If Obama Did Cook The Jobs Numbers, They Still Stink

What's more, the drop in the official unemployment rate, if those numbers are to be believed, was driven largely by a big upturn in part-time jobs. Workers who can't find full-time work, or forced to take huge pay cuts to land work, are not signs of forward momentum. And that's why the BLS' broader, but little noticed, measure of the unemployed — which includes discouraged workers and those working part time because they can't find full-time jobs — remained unchanged in September at a gut-wrenching 14.7%.
  • Unemployment Numbers

    10/06/2012 3:32:41 PM PDT · by truthandlogic · 3 replies
What a joke! Everyone knows the latest released numbers are crap. It is clear that the household number is based on a survey of 1/2 of 1%. The RNC or PAC should hire a polling agency to conduct their own unemployment survey, publish the numbers and expose the lies from the labor board. Of course no media outlet would run the story, but it would be better to have true numbers out to expose the lies that are happening. Next month numbers will adjust the unemployment rate to 2% and many will believe it. The rats are trying to take...
  • THERE IS NO HYPERINFLATION IN IRAN – The Real Story Is Much More Interesting

Contrary to reports, there is no hyperinflation in Iran right now at all. In fact, the Western sanctions imposed on Iran's oil trade are failing miserably to meet their objectives. And a regime collapse – or even, coming short of that, another popular uprising reminiscent of June 2009 – seems further away from Iran than ever. Meanwhile, the Iranian regime is using the current sanctions imposed against it by the West as a weapon to weaken its own fiercest domestic threat – the educated, relatively pro-Western Iranian constituency that comprises the middle class.

A Rasmussen post-presidential debate poll in Ohio shows Mitt Romney has pulled ahead of Barack Obama in the battleground state among those who say they are “certain” to vote. The poll shows Romney ahead 51 percent to 48 percent in this critical group. The Rasmussen Poll also suggests Romney’s strong debate performance has halted Obama’s momentum among all respondents with a statistical tie of 50 percent for Obama verses 49 percent for Romney. Among the 83-percent of Ohioans who have already made up their minds on who they will vote for, Romney leads Obama 52 percent to 48 percent, while...

Have you noticed that we've seen a lot less of DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz recently? Since getting caught misrepresenting her own statements caught on tape in early September, she seems to have been relegated to the back bench. Wednesday night was the first presidential debate, and Democrats had their various surrogates on hand to talk to the media. Rep. Wasserman-Schultz gave interviews to Univision, 7 News Colorado, and what appears to be a pre-debate interview with an ABC affiliate. She'll appear on Bloomberg TV this Sunday and she has a new profile in Vogue of all places, but these...

I definitely don't think politicians on Capitol Hill should control the care you get. We've seen some of their attitudes, we've read about those. It was a scene typical of the times in Israel. On a Be'er Sheva bus carrying mostly elderly Jews, an Arab boy began singing out loud in a way that seemed calculated to convey his disdain for his fellow passengers. Repeated attempts by passengers and the driver to get the boy to pipe down only resulted in more disruption, as the boy was joined by another, younger boy, in their annoying song. Push came to shove, shove came to kick, and the boys were taken off the bus, which drove away – but not before the boys had thrown a...
