Trump is crushing Clinton among white voters by 14 points — 53 percent to 39 percent. He also beats Clinton with voters who have a high school degree or less, and those who make over $100,000 per year. Also, independents flock to Trump 44 percent to Clinton's 36 percent. On May 2nd, Trump pulled in front of Clinton in a Rasmussen Reports poll 41 to 39 percent. Quinnipiac University released a poll last week that had Trump leading or tied with Clinton in three key swing states. In Ohio, Trump leads Clinton 43 percent to 39 percent.

On Tuesday #NeverTrumper Bill Kristol went on Newsmax TV and announced he was naming his anti-Trump protest party the Renegade Party. Republican elites want a candidate that is pro-amnesty, pro-Trans Pacific Trade agreement, and anti-Trump. The voters want Trump. The elites don’t. I’d assumed the new party should be called the New Federalist Party or The New Whig Party. But now I’m thinking, The Renegade Party… — Bill Kristol (@BillKristol) May 17, 2016 Today Kristol’s Renegade Party Twitter account was launched. Only around 2,000 people are following the renegades. It’s a movement. The principles that have made America the greatest...

    The New York Times ^ | 17 May 2016 | Jackie Calmes
A few years back, the heavy-equipment manufacturer JCB held a job fair in the glass foyer of its sprawling headquarters near here, but when a throng of prospective employees learned the next step would be drug testing, an alarming thing happened: About half of them left. That story still circulates within the business community of this historic port city. But the problem has gotten worse. All over the country, employers say they see a disturbing downside of tighter labor markets as they try to rebuild from the worst recession since the Depression: They are struggling to find workers who can...

David Cameron has made Britain a "semi-pacifist" nation more interested in protecting "welfare and benefits" than adequate defences, one of the country’s most senior retired generals has warned. ... The devastating attack came as Sir Richard warned Britain and the West could be at war with Russia within a year if it fails to stand up to President Vladimir Putin’s aggression. ... Sir Richard’s book "2017: The War with Russia" presents a fictitious scenario but based on fact and his experiences as a senior NATO commander, before he stepped down in 2014...
  • Federal judge overturns Kansas law, says voters don’t have to prove citizenship to register

    The Washington Times ^ | May 17, 2016 | Stephan Dinan
Requiring would-be voters to prove their citizenship when they try to register at motor vehicle bureaus is a burden on their right to vote, a federal judge ruled Tuesday, striking down Kansas’s law. Judge Julie A. Robinson said only a few noncitizens have broken the rules to vote in Kansas in recent years, and that doesn’t outweigh the hurdles placed in the way of thousands of legal voters who are struggling to prove their citizenship. States instead should rely on would-be voters’ word that they are citizens, Judge Robinson said. “The record in this case suggests that there is a...

A West Virginia woman died after suffering a “fat embolism” while undergoing plastic surgery to increase the size of her gluteal region.  Heather Meadows, a 29-year-old mother of two, was killed by fat particles that entered her bloodstream through a vein during a lipid transfer procedure. The fat particles clogged arteries in her heart and lungs, causing cascading organ failure and death. She was taken to an emergency room after going into cardiac arrest during the cosmetic surgery and was pronounced dead on arrival. This fat transfer procedure is common in what is called a “Brazilian butt lift,” where liposuction...

How does a ‘citizen’s arrest’ work? What are the legal ramifications of it’s being done incorrectly? cut Any citizen in California can make an arrest, said Harry Barbier, a retired San Rafael police officer who now works in private security. Tell the person they are under arrest and what they are under arrest for. Then call the police, he said. “You can handcuff them, if you place them under citizen’s arrest and you feel you have to arrest them right then and there before the police get there,” Barbier said. But be sure you know the law. A person —...

He's one of China's wealthiest and most influential men, but when Alibaba founder Jack Ma visited the White House on Tuesday, there was far less fanfare than for President Xi Jinping's state visit last fall. Reporters spotted Ma leaving the White House grounds with several aides and at least two security guards. Ma declined to comment other than to say his meetings went well. "Very good," he said, climbing into the back seat of a black sedan on 17th Street and State Place NW, next to the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. • Court: Massachusetts failed to adopt greenhouse gas limits

The state’s highest court on Tuesday reversed a lower court ruling and sided with environmental groups that sued Massachusetts for failing to adopt strict limits on greenhouse gas emissions. Lawyers for the Conservation Law Foundation, the Massachusetts Energy Consumer Alliance and four Boston and Wellesley teenagers had asked the courts to rule that the state hasn’t lived up to its 2008 Global Warming Solutions Act. When it passed, the law was the most aggressive of its kind in the country, advocates said. The groups said the law requires the Department of Environmental Protection to set strict greenhouse gas emissions limits...
  • "Palestinians" Attempt to Appropriate "Star of David" as Muslim Symbol

The whole "Palestinian" identity is a parasitic entity that can only exist in terms related to its hostility to the indigenous Jewish inhabitants. The desperate attempts to appropriate Jewish identity has now led Fatah, the core terrorist organization behind the "Palestinian" state to claim that the Jewish Star of David is really an Islamic symbol. This comes from the official Facebook page of Fatah which claims that the Star of David was used in Arab-Islamic architecture hundreds of years before the rebirth of the State of Israel. Considering that the symbol dates back to the House of David, thousands of...
  • Full-Scale Production of Plutonium Spacecraft Fuel Still Years Away

The United States has begun manufacturing nuclear spacecraft fuel for the first time in a generation, but full production of the stuff is still seven years or so away. In December, officials at the Department of Energy's (DOE) Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee announced that researchers at the site had generated a 1.8-ounce (50 grams) sample of plutonium-238, the fuel that powers deep-space missions such as NASA's New Horizons Pluto probe and Cassini Saturn orbiter.

It's a good bet that by now the entire foreign policy cosmos -- from "the Blob" to the 27-year-old reporters -- has read the New York Times Magazine profile of Deputy National Security Advisor Benjamin Rhodes, "The Aspiring Novelist Who Became Obama's Foreign-Policy Guru." The reporter, David Samuels, had extraordinary access to the White House, multiple well-placed sources and in his 9,500 word piece he provides plenty of attribution, including quotes from Rhodes himself. We get a detailed look, behind the White House facade, at Rhodes, "master shaper and retailer of Obama's foreign policy narratives," complete with his contempt for...

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) told Breitbart News he will honor his pledge to support the presumptive 2016 GOP presidential nominee, Donald Trump, in the general election against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton—the likely Democratic nominee—in November. Paul, along with every other 2016 GOP presidential candidate, signed a pledge that they would back the nominee in the general election. “I took a pledge when I ran for president to not run as an independent candidate and to support the Republican nominee,” Paul said. “I stand by that pledge, and I think that anybody who signs their word to a document...

  • IMF Wants Eurozone Debt Relief for Greece Until 2040 [to 2080]

--The International Monetary Fund is pressing the eurozone to let Greece skip paying interest or principal on bailout loans until 2040, say officials familiar with the talks. The IMF wants the loans to Greece to fall due gradually in the following decades, and as late as 2080, according to the IMF's proposal. The IMF's proposal, presented to eurozone governments late last week, would keep Greece's annual debt-service needs below 15% of its gross domestic product, under the IMF's relatively pessimistic forecast for Greece's long-term economic trajectory. The IMF's demands go far beyond what Greece's eurozone creditors have said they are...
