Hi all. Excuse my accent. I am wondering why anyone around the world would want to attack us again. We are so lucky to have a muslim president who in 90 days proved that he loves everybody (but Israel and Columbia) who will certainly allow Sharia law everywhere in the US very soon, who sends $900 millions to Hamas and refuse to meet with Bibi - America will be under Muslims rules much faster that even they thought, who just killed any will of success for our CIA et al - who is bankrupting our country, our kids will all...

Everyone should get a 1040 tax form. Scribble a big zero on it with a note to "Please consider this my application for the US Secretary of the Treasurer" and mail it to the White House.

According to its sample legislation, manufacturers would be forced to code all ammunition sold in the state. Private citizens and retail outlets would be required to dispose of all non-coded ammunition no later than Jan. 1, 2011. Each vendor would record the following information about customers who buy the ammunition: Date, name, driver's license or ID number, date of birth and ammunition identifier. The businesses would maintain records for three years from the date of purchase.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this speech not only needs to be read, but needs to be heard while you read it. It needs to be felt from the heart, as it was given from the heart. But most of all, this speech needs to be updated for today's CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT. I strongly recommend you open a second window to "http://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/ronaldreaganatimeforchoosing.htm" and play the windcows media player to watch and listen to Ronald Reagan give this speech ( 27 minutes 32 seconds long ). You have to go down that link about one page. RONALD REAGAN "A Time for Choosing" Given as...

ALBANY - If you asked the bloggers yesterday, State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo stepped on a rhetorical land mine when he used the racially charged phrase "shuck and jive" while discussing the Democratic presidential primary in a recent radio interview. Speaking Tuesday to the New York Post's Fred Dicker, whose show airs on Albany's Talk 1300 radio station, Cuomo said of the early primaries: "It's not a TV-crazed race. Frankly, you can't buy your way through." He added later, "You have to sit down with 10 people in a living room. You can't shuck and jive at a news conference;...

Imagine a world where children are taken from their families in order to stop them from turning their children into terrorists. Now imagine that on the list of potential terrorists whose children must be taken or re-educated are home schoolers, active pro-lifers, and many other average Evangelical Christians. This is the all-too-believable plot behind Jodi Cowles novel, "The Minor Protection Act" (TMPA) in which a President of the United States, with help from a slick attorney, gets a bill passed through Congress that has federal agents remove children from their traditionalist Christian homes and families to stop the children from...

Today CSPAN decided: a) not to cover the Gathering of Eagles rally, and b) to cover the Workers World Party's rally against America. With this deplorable decision, CSPAN has spit on the American military veteran. How can CSPAN make such a blatantly biased decision? Will they defend their decision, saying that "our" rally doesn't have any celebrities like Gold Star mother, Cindy Sheehan? What about the Gold Star mothers on our side who will be speaking? They may not have the name recognition that Cindy Sheehan has, but CSPAN viewers have a right (and an expectation) that their voices should carry equal...

Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays (PFOX) distributes flyers to students at area public high schools and so should you! Flyers announcing your ex-gay organization and the resources you offer to the community are a good way to communicate the message that change is possible and that diversity includes ex-gays (individuals who no longer self-identify as “gay”). You deliver your flyers to the local high schools and the school administration distributes the flyers to the student body. PFOX has samples of its flyers and brochures at www.pfox.org under Downloads. Flyers must advertise the resources and support your ex-gay organization...

I've had this story worked out in my mind for going on twenty years. 1989. But now... I am stuck. I started a book based on it, but I'm no writer, obviously. I constantly re-read and edit, and re-read and edit more. Probably because I've posted part of the story on sites that critique writing. Anyway. I've hit a wall. A large brick wall. I've since stopped editing my own stuff, but try as I might, I can't write another chapter that I'm okay with. How do you, in your experience, get past it? I'll appreciate any help anyone can...

I dreamed, the other night, that the Pittsburgh Steelers had been sold to Steve Wynn and would be playing football in a new, $3 billion domed stadium that externally resembled the Roman Pantheon. Their new cheerleaders, the Vestal Virgins, were so saucy that only night broadcasts would televise their routines. During halftime, faux gladiatorial combats were staged and the winner was granted his freedom by the great emperor, Elvis Impersonatorus. The legions of muted fans sipped on mocha lattes and watched the world's largest keno board between plays. Moreover, as a paean to the great city they now represented, Las...

I just had a great experience wuth New Balance, the sport shoe manufacturer, and I have to tell you all about it. I'll be brief. Earlier this afternoon, I was filling my Hot Rod Lincoln with overpriced fuel. The pump failed to automatically shut off when the tank was full, and gasoline spilled out all over the ground and all over my New Balance walking shoes. The station manager told me that if I needed to pay to have anything cleaned, he'd pay for it. I told him I'd check things out after I got home. At home, I called...

Need some help here. A lot of us have been following the apparent staging of events in South Lebanon by Hezbollah. Elsewhere, I've gotten into arguments, mostly with a bunch of Euros, who are claiming the "Green Helmet Guy", aka Abu Chadi the Mortician, is just "getting the word out from their side of the argument". Any resources out there showing him unloading and "planting" corpses from his refrigerated truck ??? These Eurotrash apparentely can't add two and two together, so to convince, I need more iron-clad proof. Anyone know of any such proof ???

Recently, Microsoft has been very averse to giving Vista a firm launch date. Last week, Anders reported that Microsoft's Kevin Johnson only said that Vista would ship "when it is available." Ars was also told that a release date slip of a few weeks wouldn't be surprising. All the ambiguity surrounding Vista doesn't sound very reassuring, and maybe the company would be better off pushing the release date back. According to Robert McLaws of Longhorn Blogs, that's just what Vista needs: more time. Why does McLaws believe that Microsoft should delay the release of Windows Vista? He has four major...

Are you ready for some (college) footballMcLean, Va. -- Despite having to replace nine starters on defense, Ohio State on Friday was named the No. 1 team in the USA Today preseason college football poll. It sits there like a ring on a merry-go-round. Close enough to touch. Or to drop. "It" is the Sept. 9 game against defending national champion Texas. In Austin. On ABC in prime time. The Buckeyes might have spent the summer telling everyone they weren't going to look ahead, but they would be doing it with crossed fingers and a wink. Coming off a 10-2...

This is strictly vanity. OK, been awhile on eHarmony and still looking for the love of my life. Then I find Rush Limbaugh has signed with them. Guess his fling with Donna Karyn wasn't a match made in heaven or you'd have heard more about it by now. It makes me wonder if he's really looking to get married again. We all know he met Marta online back in the 90s. Will it it be another trip to the altar? Fire away!

I was on a 6-person JP court jury. We heard an eviction case. The man had lived in the apt. 6 years. In November, he was working on an elevator and fell four floors. He signed a new lease that month and has been out of work since, but managed to pay five of the six months his $433 rent. Term date on the lease was June 31st. Manager said he owed $741 as of court date, July 26. But the man had a hand-written letter without a date stating he owed $979. No explanation was given for the numbers....

10 Ways Darwinists Help Intelligent Design (Part I) ---------------------------------------------- Eighty years after the Scopes “Monkey” Trial, the public still refuses to accept the idea that Darwin’s theory of natural selection is a sufficient explanation for complex biological phenomena. In fact, opinion polls show that fewer people are willing to accept the idea that human beings developed from earlier species than they were just ten years ago. In Britain—a country that is not exactly known for fundamentalist Christianity—fewer than half accept the theory of evolution as the best description for the development of life. (And more than 40% of those polled...

An Air Force Colonel's View of Marines Some things are just too good to keep to yourself....this is one of them. The email below is from USAF Colonel Brett Wyrick who is the commander of the 154th Medical Group, Hawaii Air National Guard, and is serving as a surgeon in Balad with the 332nd Expeditionary Medical Group. Col. Wyrick had been sending his father, a Vietnam-era fighter pilot, emails about his experiences in Iraq: Dear Dad, If I ever hear airmen griping and complaining, I jump into them pretty quickly, now. Most people over here have nothing to gripe about...

INGRAM — A state agency lawyer quoted in a nationally-circulated news story as questioning Karl Rove's eligibility to vote in Kerr County is out of a job and feeling twice burned. Elizabeth Reyes said she was fired Tuesday as an attorney in the elections division of the Texas secretary of state's office because she appeared in a Washington Post story Saturday about the presidential adviser. The article, which was reprinted in papers across the country, quoted Reyes as saying Rove's ownership of Kerr County property may not qualify him to vote there. Reyes, a 30-year-old San Antonio native, is seeking...

I mentioned in a previous post that I am interviewing my nephew Zebulon M. Pike, who is serving in the Army in Iraq, just south of Bagdad. I am sure that it would be a GREAT inspiration to him to actually hold in his hands the prayers of...

No, this is not on Fox's website. (I'm new at this, please forgive me.) Hello FreeperNation! I have a special request. My nephew, Zebulon M. Pike, who is in the Army, is back home for a couple of weeks before going back to Iraq. He is stationed just south of Bagdad. While he is stateside, I'm taking this opportunity to sit down with him for an interview. Yes, I'll be videotaping it. My request is this: Please post questions that I can ask him (besides the obvious stuff). There are some things he can't talk about because it's classified, but...

This is also posted at The Perspective (link above) This morning the city of London was struck by a series of bomb blasts that shut down its transit system. Let my voice join the chorus of Americans who not only offer prayers and condolences, but also pledge support and solidarity in the fight against the cowards who executed these attacks. This is war, not politics.

CLASHING MILITARY CULTURES By RALPH PETERS April 13, 2005 -- LAST month, I sat in the of fice of Col. Jon "Dog" Davis, a veteran Marine aviator. While at war, the Corps' pilots had seen a rise in their accident rate. Davis was determined to do something about it. I wanted to be sympathetic, so I said, "Well, you're flying some very old aircraft." Davis, a taut, no-nonsense Marine, looked me in the eye and said, "They may be old, but they're good. That's no excuse." snip Morally bankrupt, the Air Force is willing to turn a blind eye to...

Nick Silverio of Safe Haven for Newborns in Florida has asked that we spread the word of a disabled newborn in need of adoption. The child, born today, has no arms, only one leg, and is missing a good portion of his jaw - but his prognosis is good. The baby was abandoned by his mother under the Florida Safe Haven law and, unless potential adoptive parents can be found quickly, the child will become a ward of the state (and, it is feared, the target of euthanasia). The Florida Department of Children and Families will not become involved unless...

If you think that as women’s fiction writers, we’re immune from scrutiny under the Patriot Act, think again. Last fall, the home of a multi-published author for an RWA-recognized publisher was raided and her writing in materials confiscated. The writer, an RWA and PAN member who asked to be referred to as Dilyn, agreed to he interviewed for this column to alert RWA members of potential risks when conducting research. SB: What type of story were you researching? Dilyn: Mainstream women’s fiction adventure. It was set in Cambodia, all about the theft of antiquities. In my research I learned, about...

John Kerry during his service with the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. Judicial Watch also requested that military authorities investigate Kerry’s anti-war activities, including his meeting with North Vietnamese and Viet Cong delegations in Paris, while a member of the Naval Reserve. America In the Balance by Vernon E. Lawrence Then Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and summoned the elders, the heads, the judges, and the officers of Israel; and they presented themselves before God. And Joshua said to all the people, “Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: Long ago your ancestors—Terah and his sons Abraham and Nahor—lived beyond the Euphrates and served other gods. Then I took your father Abraham from beyond the River and led him through all the land of Canaan and made his offspring many. I gave him Isaac; and to Isaac...
