An illegal immigrant was wrongly banned from possessing guns, according to a recent ruling.A federal law, Section 922 of Title 18 of the U.S. Code, bars illegal immigrants from carrying guns or ammunition. Prosecutors charged Heriberto Carbajal-Flores, the illegal alien, in 2020 after he was found in Chicago carrying a semi-automatic pistol despite “knowing he was an alien illegally and unlawfully in the United States.”U.S. District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman rejected two motions to dismiss, but the third motion, based on a 2022 U.S. Supreme Court ruling, triggered the dismissal of the case on March 8.“The noncitizen possession statute, 18...

The NRA is in serious trouble, the worst crisis in the history of the organization. There is no point in sugarcoating the reality. Many of the problems are self-inflicted by the current administration of the organization. It is this writer’s considered opinion the fight to restore the Second Amendment can best be served by voting for the following four nominees for NRA Board Directors:Phil Journey Denis FusaroRocky MarshallJeff KnoxVote only for those four nominees. Voting only for those four magnifies your vote.In addition, vote Yes on the proposed bylaw change to create a Chief Compliance Officer. It is a position that...

Dear Reader, It's important to keep in mind everything conceivably wrong or criminal about firearms is already illegal. So, when new laws are proposed, they typically only impact the innocent. It's precisely why we, the people, object so strenuously to new laws: They affect us and don't impact crime and violence. Because new proposals omit the criminal problem, new rules raise the real specter of actual conspiracy within some halls of government to wrest control and disarm the public. Many in government furiously deny this, but it's supported by evidence and countless public statements. I'm a Utopian Pacifist. I support...

Rapper Meek Mill is encouraging Americans to "strap up" with guns due to danger on the streets resulting from illegal immigration. The 36-year-old Philadelphia native, whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, ranted about migrants, drugs and a mental health crisis in a new social media post. The platinum-selling artist went to jail in 2009 on gun and drug charges, was paroled after five months and given a 10-year probation period. In 2017, he was sent back to prison temporarily for technical violations. "Make sure you strap up in America it's extremely dangerous on the streets!" Mill wrote on March...

Gun Owners of America, a conservative firearm rights group, spoke out against Texas Sen. John Cornyn's bid to replace Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell as Senate Republican leader. "The Senate deserves a conservative pro-gun leader, and John Cornyn is not that person," Gun Owners of America Federal Affairs Director Aidan Johnston said last week in a statement posted by the group on X, formerly Twitter. "Every time a gun issue comes up, he’s right there with a compromise. And that’s not leadership. That’s just capitulation to gun control." Johnston reiterated his group's opposition in comments to Fox News Digital on Saturday....

Louisiana will likely become the twenty-eighth state to restore Constitutional Carry (permitless carry). South Carolina is in the process of rectifying versions of a (permitless) Constitutional Carry bill in a conference committee. There is a good chance South Carolina will pass a bill acceptable to both the South Carolina House and Senate. Louisiana already passed a Constitutional Carry bill in 2021. The bill passed with veto-proof majorities, but Governor Bel Edwards (D) was able to sustain a veto with a combination of arm-twisting and promises. In 2023, Louisiana voters elected Governor Jeff Landry (R). Governor Landry has promised to sign a...
  • Ketanji Brown Jackson, we know your were born stupid and on the down side of the Bell Curve. But Elena Kagan, what's your excuse? Do you two bimbos really believe that any commercial firearm can file 800 rounds per second? (Vanity - Opinion)

It is assumed that on some issues, judges are obviously not experts and get advice from their clerks or seek expert testimony. This does not appear to be the case with Jackson and Kagan. Perhaps their staffs let them down. Perhaps they're too lazy to do some basic research on the internet. Maybe they actually are so stupid to believe that there might be a firearm commercially available that can fire 800 rounds per second. If so, both need to resign due to terminal ignorance. However, don't resign until Trump wins the election and is sworn in.

DES MOINES — Iowans could soon purchase a license plate that features the yellow “don’t tread on me” Gadsden flag, with the fees collected going to fund training and education by National Rifle Association-affiliated groups. The flag, which features a coiled rattlesnake and the slogan “Don’t tread on me,” has become a symbol of individual liberty favored by Libertarians and conservatives. It has its origins in the American Revolutionary War and was designed by Christopher Gadsden, a South Carolina delegate to the Continental Congress. House File 2424, which would make the plates an option for drivers in Iowa, was passed...

Today, Brandon’s companies dominate the silencer/suppressor market, regulated under the National Firearms Act (NFA). This correspondent met Brandon Maddox at the 2024 SHOT Show. Brandon had read several AmmoLand articles, recognized this writer, and started a conversation. Brandon graciously agreed to be interviewed. President Joe Biden’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms Director Steven Dettelbach seems to know as much about guns as Democrat-nominated Supreme Court justices. As ATF head, Dettelbach, who was confirmed in 2022 with the help of Senate Democrats and two Republicans, is expected to understand to some degree the items his agency regulates and enforces. Unfortunately for Americans who have endured a slew of attacks on their Second Amendment rights at the hands of the Biden administration, Dettelbach is publicly ignorant about the guns and gun parts his agency wants to ban. During his appearance on CBS’s “Face The Nation”...

On Monday, far-left anti-gun Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham had a photo op at Albuquerque’s West Mesa High School, where she signed two anti-gun bills and two crime-related bills. “These four bills are an incredible effort to do more,” she said at the presser, per the Santa Fe New Mexican. At the press conference, she was flanked by discredited anti-gun group “co-president” Miranda Viscoli of “New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence” and the sponsor of the extreme H.B. 129 anti-gun bill State Rep. Andrea Romero (D-Santa Fe) “All four bills become effective immediately, the governor said as she prepared to sign...

A deal made by congressional leaders to avert a partial shutdown of the U.S. government includes an attempt to ease some veterans' access to gun ownership, even when they are deemed "mentally incompetent" to handle their own finances. The $436 billion funding package agreed on by congressional lawmakers Wednesday extended the deadline for the expiration of funding for government agencies—including the military and Department of Veteran Affairs—from March 1 to March 8. It was the fourth extension painstakingly agreed on by a divided Congress during this fiscal year, but it spelled optimism that a deal for the long-term budget plan...
