ATLANTA - Keisha Lance Bottoms released a farewell video on her last full day as Atlanta mayor. The video was posted to her social media accounts and it in part outlined some achievements she had during her four-year term. Bottoms released an open letter to the city in May 2021, announcing that she would not seek a second term as mayor.

A new IBOPE Zogby Interactive poll shows President Barack Obama's approval rating at 42 percent, the lowest since December, when it hit 39 percent. The poll also finds likely voters split over whether or not a government shutdown would be harmful to the economic recovery. President Obama's approval rating has hit an all-time low, according to a new poll from Quinnipiac University. The survey measured Obama's approval at just 42 percent, with 48 percent of voters disapproving of the job he's doing in office.
