Sorry libs. Sarah Palin stood by her correct narrative of Paul Revere’s ride(s) today on FOX News Sunday. For those of you maybe aren’t familiar with the story, Paul Revere warned the American militias and the British troops during his infamous rides.

Following the Sarah Palin playbook of never admitting error, the ex-governor’s minions are busy flooding the Internet with ’proof’ that Palin did not misspeak when suggesting that Paul Revere warned the British that they would not be taking arms from the colonists during his ride where he, apparently, rung bells and fired muskets. The effort to back up Palin is based on taking bits and pieces of facts surrounding the historic event that, when cut and pasted together, work to make Palin look a little less befuddled than her actual statement would indicate. While I give them credit for the...

Not having any real reason to look into it any deeper, Sarah Palin's statement that Revere warned the British that the colonial militias were waiting seemed odd. But it appears that the popular version is not complete. In fact, as pointed out at Conservatives4Palin, Revere did in fact tell the British that the colonial militias, who had been alerted, were waiting for them. Here is the original historical text written by Revere (spelling in original, bold added): "I observed a Wood at a Small distance, & made for that. When I got there, out Started Six officers, on Horse back,and...

SNIP Reporters were kept in the dark about Palin's whereabouts during her "One Nation" bus tour and were forced to depend on sources or tips from park rangers to figure out which historical site the former Alaska governor might appear at next. Her strategy is unlikely to change as the patriotism-themed tour makes its way through the Midwest, West and South later this month. But once reporters tracked her down, Palin was eager to engage. At stop after stop after stop, she answered questions on everything from energy subsidies to the debt ceiling to her favorite brand of designer jeans....

That Stupid Palin, Getting Her History Right Published Saturday, June 4, 2011 A.D. | By Paul Zummo I guess there’s a new kerfuffle related to Sarah Palin. This video was linked at NRO “without comment†by Andrew Stiles. It’s more evidence that she’s some kind of historical illiterate, or something, as she supposedly claims that Paul Revere rode to warn the Brits. Admittedly Palin’s wording is incredibly garbled and she did not give a very articulate response. Here’s the thing: her comments are completely accurate. Here’s a letter written by Paul Revere himself: “I observed a Wood at a Small...

It is amusing how the msm and blogosphere jumped the gun over the accuracy of Sarah Palin’s recounting of Paul Revere’s Ride; the night the British soldiers marched (not Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s poem “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere” but the recounting of events as they unfolded, told by Paul Revere himself. Judging from the lamestream media's lack of understanding or reading of history, if they bothered to get it right now (repent at leisure) by researching the history of Paul Revere’s ride, they would most likely take him to task over his spelling. And this brings me to the...

MEDIA CAUGHT IN ANOTHER SMEAR… Palin Did Not Misspeak on Paul Revere by Jim Hoft Friday, June 3, 2011 The state-run media is having fun today smearing Sarah Palin on her historical knowlege. Yesterday she told reporters Revere warned the British that the colonial militias were waiting for them. Sarah Palin was right.Paul Revere did in fact tell the British that the colonial militias, who had been alerted, were waiting for them...

The mark of any successful political venture by Governor Palin often results a misrepresentation of her words that only leaves the media with egg on their faces. Governor Palin’s bus tour has been successful in allowing her to highlight the greatness of the history of America, meet everyday Americans and fellow politicians, and share her policy stances on everything from fishing regulations in New Hampshire to ethanol subsidies to the debt ceiling. Such successes leaves the media grasping at proverbial bendy straws. Today’s news is no different. Poised with the opportunity to more appropriately address political stories essentially pre-written for...

Paul Revere's Ride Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Listen my children and you shall hear Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere, On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-five; Hardly a man is now alive Who remembers that famous day and year. He said to his friend, "If the British march By land or sea from the town to-night, Hang a lantern aloft in the belfry arch Of the North Church tower as a signal light,-- One if by land, and two if by sea; And I on the opposite shore will be, Ready to ride and spread the alarm Through every...

Officials order 3-D rendering of sunken boat The wreck of the British warship HMS Somerset III, which was guarding Boston Harbor the night Paul Revere slipped by on his legendary journey to Lexington in 1775, has resurfaced in the shifting sands off Cape Cod. Federal park officials, saying they may have only a limited window of opportunity, are seizing the moment and having the wreck “digitally preserved’’ using three-dimensional imaging technology. “We know the wreck is going to disappear again under the sand, and it may not resurface again in our lifetimes,’’ said William P. Burke, the historian at the...

PROVINCETOWN - The wreck of the British warship that Paul Revere eluded at the start of his famous ride has resurfaced in Cape Cod’s shifting sands. About a dozen timbers from the HMS Somerset III were spotted on a Provincetown beach after erosion from recent storms.

It’s an amazing coincidence of fate that the most un-American, unpatriotic, and unappealing woman we can think of is named Michelle — and happens to be our current First Lady — while the most pro-American, patriotic, and wonderful woman we can think of is also named Michele. One less “L” in a name sure makes one “Hell” of a difference. Obama vs. Bachmann---(cont'd @ hillbuzz.org/)

A very, very significant birthday came and went on Dec. 13, 2006. Sadly, too few Americans even noticed, or knew about it. The national media paid it scant, if any, attention. And the really sad part is that we all owe our lives, our history and much of our present and our future to the ones whose birthday it was – our National Guard. The Guard birth date was Dec. 13, 1636, when the first regiments of militia were organized from citizen volunteers in the towns surrounding Boston. Yep, that grand old organization celebrated its 370th birthday 12 days...
