Nine months after Sen. Paul Wellstone's fatal plane crash, some DFLers are outraged by what they consider disrespectful bumper sticker messages printed in Wellstone's green and white. One spotted on a car parked near the State Capitol reads: "It's time to park the bus," a reference to Wellstone's campaign vehicle. Another spotted around town said, "He's dead, get over it."

<p>Journalists usually relish a juicy surprise twist in the humdrum world of politics, but the news media weren't thrilled when the tone unexpectedly shifted during Tuesday night's Paul Wellstone memorial.</p> <p>Switchboards lit up when Rick Kahn, a Wellstone friend and campaign treasurer, and Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, gave speeches that sounded less like eulogies and more like barnstorming.</p>

I quickly channeled surfed all three of these Networks a few minutes ago and they ALL had negative stories about the Wellstone "Memorial Service." This looks to be a backfiring PR disaster for the Demmycrats if even the liberal networks have no choice but to report negatively on this. BTW, CBS led into the story about that "Memorial Service" with a silly negative story about how Norm Coleman was somehow besmirching the memory of Paul Wellstone because he flew around Minnesota today in the same kind of jet that Wellstone used when he crashed. That's the worst they can say...

.....Minnesota is also the home state of U.S. Senator Paul Wellstone, currently serving his second term. Like Ventura, Wellstone promised to serve no more than two terms in his office. Except, guess what, he has just announced that he will indeed run for a third term as Senator. I just hope the Senator one day finds his way back into the light.That may be sooner than he plans. A recent statewide poll shows that most Minnesotans, 55 percent, feel that Wellstone is morally obligated to step down in 2002
