Americans are losing support for special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. Mueller oversees the investigation into Russia’s efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election, and he also examines whether the Russian government worked with Trump during the election. The special counsel investigation began when President Trump fired former FBI director James Comey. Mueller’s inquiry has been going on for over a year now. At the start of the investigation, almost three-quarters of Americans believed the Russia investigation should continue. Now, that same support is down to a near even split: 52 support-45 against.

President Trump’s approval rating jumped up to 45 percent, the highest it has been throughout his presidency, according to a new poll released by the Wall Street Journal and NBC. The poll left an MSNBC panel shocked Sunday night by the improvement. According to a survey published by Gallup, there are 36 economic and non-economic issues on the minds of Americans. No one mentioned climate change. As you might expect, economic issues were in the forefront of the voters' minds. But there are some interesting results nonetheless:

A poll released by Axios-Survey Monkey on Tuesday shows that Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) leads Democrat Phil Bredesen by 14 points in the U.S. Senate general election, 55 percent to 41 percent among registered voters. The vast majority of Republicans support the way President Trump handled his first summit meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, according to a new Axios poll. The poll said 80 percent of Republicans approved of Trump’s performance, while only 8 percent of Democrats feel the same way. The partisan split could be seen in other things the poll measured. Nearly a year after Donald Trump was elected president, the Republican coalition is deeply divided on such major issues as immigration, America’s role in the world and the fundamental fairness of the U.S. economic system. The Democratic coalition is largely united in staunch opposition to President Trump. Yet, while Trump’s election has triggered a wave of political activism within the party’s sizable liberal bloc, the liberals’ sky-high political energy is not nearly as evident among other segments in the Democratic base. On Thursday’s edition of New Day, the CNN morning show co-host Alisyn Camerota invited former George W. Bush advisor Scott Jennings and left wing political commentator Michael Eric Dyson on to discuss a recent poll that found half of all Americans believe President Trump is racist. What followed was a series of hyperbolic pronouncements that have come to define Dyson’s appearances on television. Nearly half of voters think President Donald Trump is a racist, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday. Forty-nine percent of voters said Trump is racist, while 47 percent said he’s not, according to the poll. The president’s economic approval rating has hit an all-time high since he took office, a new survey shows. According to the CNBC All America Economic Survey, the majority of Americans approve of Trump’s handling of the economy. In it, 42% of Americans say President Donald Trump should be impeached and removed from office.
