An American Special Forces soldier serving in Afghanistan has a new best friend thanks to his own compassion for the animal and the assistance of family, friends and two non-profit organizations that offered a helping hand. Although the exact circumstances of their meeting are unclear, Aaron Eleby of Valatie, N.Y., told News 10 he discovered a white puppy while on tour in the war-torn nation.

These puppies' mother was hit by a car, leaving them all alone. But this amazing man came along and promised her he would take care of them. Not only that, but the mother actually helps him...even from death. Beautifully done. All dogs have new loving homes.

This is our dog. When he was three. He is part Boarder Collie, part Aussie and perhaps something else. Great and beautiful dog. Would love another one, same mix and coloring. Have not had any luck finding one. Our boy is getting old and we would love a new pup for him to train. Any one know of people who breed or have such a beauty? An unlikely playmate has been brought into the Dallas Zoo to help calm two male cheetah cubs: an 8-week-old black Labrador retriever puppy named Amani. Amani is joining two 8-week-old feline brothers, Winspear and Kamau, born July 8 at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, Va. According to a zoo statement, Amani means "peace" in Swahili. The wife and I just brought home a German Shepherd pup yesterday. He seemed "shy" but later I realized he was lethargic. He ate a bit but not like what you would expect from a two month old Shepherd. We took him to the Vet today to have him checked out and he tested positive for Parvo. He hadn't started puking yet and they put him on IVs so with a little luck he should recover. Chicago, IL - A 42-year-old man has been arrested on animal cruelty charges after trying to "teach" his Pit bull puppy how to walk. The man, Stanton Howard of Humbodlt Park, attempted to "teach" the 11-week-old puppy how to walk by dragging her along the pavement to the point that she was leaving a bloody trail.
