Washington (CNN)Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins said she won't endorse GOP presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump until he starts behaving more "presidential." "I would love to be able to endorse Donald Trump, but he really has to change the approach that he's taken," she told CNN's Chris Cuomo on Wednesday on "New Day." "If I were giving him advice, I would tell him he should own up to making mistakes. He should apologize to the judge and to the American people. And he should stop insulting people."

Reid has 57 votes for cloture. Collins of Maine is one of two R's supporting cloture but claims she'll vote "no" on floor vote, when her vote will make no difference. What a coward.

Sen. Susan Collins announced Tuesday that she would become the fourth Senate Republican to support Sonia Sotomayor's nomination to the Supreme Court. The support from the Maine centrist is the latest sign that Sotomayor will be confirmed by a comfortable majority before the Senate adjourns for its summer recess on Aug. 7. "Judge Sotomayor has impressive legal experience, has excelled throughout her life and is a tremendously accomplished person," Collins said. "And based on my review of her record, my assessment of her character and my analysis of her adherence to precedent, Judge Sotomayor warrants confirmation to the high court."

Collins, a Republican, said Alito has excellent qualifications and has received the highest possible recommendation from the American Bar Association. She said she was impressed with testimony on Alito's behalf during his confirmation hearing from seven of his colleagues on the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Maine's other U.S. senator, Olympia Snowe, was still weighing the nomination and has not announced her decision, said spokeswoman Antonia Ferrier.
