(WXYZ) - Police say an attempted robbery and shooting happened at a bus stop on Detroit's west side. Officers say a man tried to rob another man waiting to get on the bus. GARDENA, Calif. (KABC) -- Gardena police say an attempted robbery suspect was shot by his alleged victim on Saturday evening. Police said the suspect approached an off-duty security guard around 6:15 p.m. in the 2000 block of Rosecrans Avenue while simulating a handgun and demanding property from the victim. Investigators said the victim feared for his life. He shot the suspect once in the stomach.

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS • A man shot and wounded Thursday morning by a supermarket clerk during a robbery attempt was charged today in the crime, police said. The 56-year-old grandmother and great grandmother from Clinton Township has a permit to carry a gun, and when she was attacked on a city bus, she used it. It's a bus route Kamate is quite familiar with, she's also grown accustomed to seeing some of the same people who take the bus with her.

Hasib Kuric, a homeless immigrant from Bosnia, has a deal with the owner of the Exxon station on South State Road 7: Kuric can sleep in a U-Haul truck out back if he keeps watch over the place. BRADENTON - An armed suspect attempting to commit a robbery was shot dead by the victim in Bradenton Sunday night. Joshua Pinkham, 39, and Roy Potter, 40, were sitting outside a duplex on the 4200 block of 24 th Street West when three masked men approached them at 10:20 p.m. One of the suspects, 26-year-old James Brady, pointed a gun at Pinkham and ordered him to the ground. Anne Arundel County police are investigating a report that an employee in a coin shop in Glen Burnie shot and killed an intruder Tuesday morning. Officers responded to a 6:28 a.m. call Christmas morning at Arundel County Coin Shop in the 7400 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and were met by an employee of the business, police said. Fleming went into the store, while his girlfriend waited in the vehicle. According to the girlfriend Rodrequez Shaw approached the vehicle in the parking lot and they exchanged words. Shaw then entered the store with a handgun and approaching Fleming. Fleming pulled a handgun and fired two rounds striking Shaw. Shaw fled the store and collapsed a short distance from the rear door. He was later pronounced dead.

The Little Rock Police Department is investigating a weekend shooting incident on the city's west side after a store owner exchanges gunfire with suspects who tried to rob his business.
