I was in a Walmart in Montgomery, Alabama and ran into a person I know who works for Martha Roby (R), who is on Trey Gowdy's committee. He told me the democrat attack on Comey was BS because the committee was unhappy about Comey stopping the investigation, and could not get a good position from him on a number of matters that might change the status of the so-called investigation, such as the IT guy who tried to remove his posts at Reddit.com, etc. Anyway, the staffer told me that at the end of the last meeting, they gave Comey...

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley, United States Representative Martha Roby (R-AL) and Congressman Bradley Byrne (R-AL) denounced Republican candidate Donald Trump on Saturday following a controversial recording that emerged this week. Recordings obtained by the Washington Post caught Trump on a live microphone speaking to Billy Bush, who worked for Access Hollywood at the time, talking about making sexual advances on women, one of whom was married. Trump has since released an apology in regards to the comments made in 2005, but many GOP lawmakers have expressed their disapproval, including U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan. Gov. Bentley...

Isn’t democracy great? Isn’t it great when “the people” get to vote? Actually, this is exactly what our Founders warned of when they portended an elective despotism emanating from a pure democracy. This is why they sought to establish a republic.

By J. Michael Waller © 2003 Insight/News World Communications Inc. It's one of the unsolved political mysteries of 2003: Exactly who drew up the plan for Democrats to abuse the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, or SCCI, as a stealth weapon to undermine and discredit President George W. Bush and the U.S. war effort in Iraq? The plot, authored by aides to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., vice chairman of the committee, has poisoned the working atmosphere of a crucial legislative panel in a time of war, Senate sources say. It centered on duping the panel's Republican chairman, Sen. Pat Roberts...
