California's Gov. Gavin Newsom continued his attacks on red states, blasting Texas and Florida for "banning" books containing pornographic imagery from school libraries. Nothing could be further from the truth, he oleaginously assured. Newsom insisted that outstate groups had misled parents into thinking that schools are somehow "sexualizing" children.Incredibly, he did this while touting his state as a bastion for parental rights, going so far as to argue that no state outdoes California on "local control and parental engagement." Newsom actually claimed that he supports “the rights of parents to speak out,” despite the fact that the state is poised...

@libsoftiktok A mom spoke out at a school board meeting about @BeniciaUSD injecting gender ideology into the curriculum. Leftist activists were fuming and set to work tracking down her employer and destroying her life. @Compass, her employer, caved to the mob and fired her. I spoke with Janet and she shared her frustrations about what’s going on America. Her life was turned upside down but she stressed she believes parents have to stand up for whats right and protect their children. She doesn’t regret speaking out and hopes more parents join her!

A local school board president in California has been inundated with threats that left-wing activists will dismember her, kill her children, and slaughter her pets. Her crime? Saying that teachers should not keep parents in the dark if their children begin to “identify” as transgender. The new Chino Valley (California) Unified School District Board of Education policy states that school officials will notify parents in writing within three days if a child seeks to “identify” as a gender “other than the student’s biological sex,” use different pronouns, adopt a different name, or use the restroom or join a sports team...

By Jen Wiersma, Trustee for the Temecula Valley Unified School District, Area 3 Standing up for parental rights over our children’s education is more than a campaign slogan; it is essential. As parents are taking action to regain control of their children’s education, we are seeing disinformation campaigns launched to upend their efforts. As a newly seated Temecula Unified School District (TVUSD) board member, I’m compelled to address the inaccuracies perpetuated by Assemblyman Corey Jackson, author of Assembly Bill 1078 and the co-sponsor of the bill, Tony Thurmond, California Superintendent of Public Instruction. Since the November 2022 general election, where...

VIDEOChristopher Wray's testimony before Congress on July 12, 2023 went so horribly wrong that the FBI PR department desperately posted several damage control tweets in a laughably failed effort to counter what happened. Unfortunately the ratio on those tweets just made things even worse as you can see. In this example, I take a look at the ratio on the FBI's damage control tweet about investigating parents who spoke out at school board meetings.

California’s statewide teachers’ union sent a letter June 27 to the Chino Valley Unified School board criticizing its recent decision to allow only government flags on school property—and threatening to take legal action against the board if the policy is not reversed. The board voted 4–1 June 15 to allow only the California and U.S. flags on school property. The California Teachers Association—with more than 300,000 members—in partnership with local union Associated Chino Teachers alleges in the letter the decision violates teachers’ right to free speech under the First Amendment as well as a state employment law. The union also...

One person was arrested after about 300 people attended the Glendale Unified School District's protest, the majority fighting against the inclusion of LGBTQ+-related material in the classroom. The clash, which was captured on video, comes just weeks after violence broke out amid a previous school board meeting in Glendale, a largely Armenian community. Massive brawl breaks out outside Glendale CA school board. (Credit: Sergio Olmos)A huge fight broke out outside the Glendale School Board meeting in Los Angeles as parents, many of them from the Armenian-American community, came to protest the school’s pride events. Naturally, the left-wing zealots—read “Antifa”—showed up in force, and as you will see, some serious punches were thrown on both sides. A heavy police presence attempted to stop the fighting, violently pulling apart combatants to prevent serious injury.Someone with a bullhorn shouts, “Do not engage! Step away. We are not here to fight!” Maybe that person wasn’t there to...

A Temecula mother has complained that her 15-year-old daughter was made to read a sexually explicit play in drama class and is calling for a policy to prevent such instances in the future. Tracy Nolasco said her daughter, a Temecula Valley High School sophomore, had to read “Angels in America,” a Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Tony Kushner. The play, set in New York City in 1985, explores the AIDS epidemic as well as religion, race, politics, and homosexuality. Nolasco on Tuesday night, May 16, told the Temecula Valley school board that the drama describes sexual activity, sexual...

As Colorado kids struggle to recoup learning losses post-pandemic, teachers unions keep proving that’s not their priority. Standing at the center is the state’s most prominent teachers union — the Colorado Education Association. At the CEA’s statewide conference on April 22, the organization — which claims to represent teachers — took a brazen, ideological stance when it passed a resolution attacking capitalism for “inherently exploit(ing) children, public schools, land, labor, and resources.” Never mind how America’s free enterprise system enables businesses and homeowners to pour billions of dollars into our state’s education system through taxation, or the philanthropic contributions of...

A California school board member reclaimed his seat on Wednesday in a special election after community members petitioned to remove him for speaking out against transgenderism. In October, community members garnered enough signatures to force a special election to remove Kenneth Enney, a then newly appointed Paso Robles Joint Unified School District trustee, who had posted on Facebook stating that he rejects transgenderism within the LGBTQ movement. Enney won back his seat on Wednesday claiming 6,486 votes and ending with an 8.6% lead over his challenger, Angela Hollander, the former manager of an education non-profit, according to the San Luis...

An Olympia School District board member cut music classes because they are examples of “white supremacy” culture that “caused significant institutional violence.” The district is expecting an $11.5 million budget shortfall and needs to make budget cuts. Music courses for 4th and 5th graders were on the chopping block, leaving students and their parents angry and concerned. In the end, the district cut band and strings from 4th-grade classes for a savings of roughly $537,000. But the cuts were not considered solely over budgetary concerns. School Board Director Scott Clifthorne told concerned parents that music courses aren’t offered equitably across...

A new investigation from lawyers hired by a school board outside of Philadelphia undermines claims by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Philadelphia media that a GOP-controlled school board created a hostile environment toward gay and transgender students. The 140-page report, presented at a school board meeting and made public Thursday night, paints a picture of an activist teacher breaking the rules to manipulate students and the media and then becoming a media darling after getting suspended for it. They also reveal that the supposedly anti-gay school administrators were, in fact, aggressive in cracking down on bullying. The story...

As the spring primary approaches on May 16, and with school board seats increasingly in the crosshairs of national politics, it appears that more than 66 percent of incumbents in area school districts will be seeking reelection. School board elections in Pennsylvania allow candidates to file to run on both the Republican and Democratic ballot lines in the primary. This can sometimes result in the entire election being decided in the primary if a candidate captures both party nominations for the November ballot. However, for a variety of reasons, some candidates only run on one line. All open school board...
