Why hasn't Tipper defended Al Gore? She could say something about them growing apart but "he's still a good man." She could say that though they have gone their separate ways he's "still a man of honor." Instead she is noticeably silent in the face of damning accusations. The media fails to say anything about this. Gee I wonder way.

Al And Tipper Gore To Skip Chelsea Clinton’s Weddingby Frances Martel | 10:43 am, July 3rd, 2010 More sad news from the Al Gore camp, who is starting to look more and more like the new John Edwards every day: Gore and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Tipper, will not be attending Chelsea Clinton’s wedding, and event they had reported been “looking forward to” a year ago, before the Gores hit this recent unfortunate patch of events. New York’s Daily Intel blog reports that a rep for the Gores announced the sad news, and added that “they both wish Chelsea well, believe...

The allegation that Al Gore sexually assaulted a woman in a Portland, Ore., hotel room nearly four years ago has dealt a serious blow to the former vice president's story that he and wife Tipper simply "grew apart" after 40 years of marriage. The police report of the masseuse's complaint is 73 pages long and extremely detailed. According to the document, she got a call from the front desk of the trendy Hotel Lucia on the night of Oct. 24, 2006. The hotel had a special guest. Could she come at 10:30 p.m.?

The Washington Post is now reporting the Al Gore-Redheaded Masseuse story. Surprisingly, they track how the National Enquirer report relied "heavily" on the documents behind the accusation, and point out the care taken before letting the story go to press. Gore and his attorneys have been trying to sweep this under the rug since 2007 and again in 2008. There can hardly be an "I don't remember" defense.

The executive editor of the National Enquirer says the Oregon masseuse who made a sexual allegation against Al Gore asked the tabloid for $1 million but that the Enquirer did not pay her or anyone else in reporting the story. Barry Levine said in an interview Thursday that the woman offered to sell her account through her lawyer but that "no money exchanged hands" and the paper conducted only a brief interview with her. The tabloid confirmed that Gore, who had just released the film "An Inconvenient Truth," was in Portland at the time of the alleged incident to give...

Barry Levine said in an interview Thursday that the woman offered to sell her account through her lawyer but that "no money exchanged hands". According to a source friendly with the Gores, Al Gore confirmed he received a therapeutic massage in his hotel room that night, and likely from the therapist making the accusation. But, the source said, Gore remembers...

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A close friend of the massage therapist who accused former Vice President Al Gore of repeated, unwanted sexual contact says the woman was not after money, and just wanted Gore held accountable. The alleged abuse took place at the Hotel Lucia in a hotel room in 2006, according to police reports. The woman told police she was "repeatedly subjected to unwanted sexual touching" in Gore's hotel room at the Hotel Lucia, according to the police report. Donna Burleigh told KGW the massage therapist called her after the alleged 2006 incident and described being sexually assaulted by a...
