Obama sycophant Soledad O'Brien got into a tussle with Joel Pollak of Breitbart.com and had her head handed to her as she tried desperately to dissuade viewers of the truth- that Barack Obama was heavily influenced by the radical Bell. In her conversation with Pollak she at first appeared not to know what Critical Race Theory actually was while at the same time she was sure Pollak was wrong. From somewhere she came up with a definition that happened to be curiously similar to the one found in Wikipedia. Soon after the Wikipedia page for CRT was changed repeatedly and...

Ever since Breitbart.com released a video of then-Harvard Law school student Barack Obama introducing controversial Harvard Law professor Derrick Bell, one of the most stalwart defenders of Bell has been CNN “Starting Point” anchor Soledad O’Brien. Last Thursday, O’Brien had a somewhat contentious back-and-forth with Breitbart.com editor Joe Pollack, which she defended on her Monday broadcast. “Last week we had a lot of feedback on a debate we had about Critical Race Theory,” O’Brien said. “And it was kind of brought back into the spotlight, the academic theory that nobody was talking about, brought into the spotlight by Breitbart.com editor-in-chief...

In partial fulfillment of Andrew Breitbart's promise to "vet" the President this time, the Breitbart.com team posted a video of President Barack Obama as a law student at Harvard. It also ran on Hannity tonight. The video shows the young Obama asking his fellow law students to "Open up your hearts and your minds to the words of Professor Derrick Bell." Professor Derrick Bell, the object of young Obama's adoration, was an associate of Reverend Jeremiah Wright and a committed radical. Bell was a proponent of Critical Race Theory, which views virtually all relationships through a lens of perceived race-based...

Nearly every single Obama biographer and profiler has mentioned the contentious racial climate of Harvard Law School during the time that Obama was president of the Harvard Law Review. Some have even mentioned the speech that Obama gave at a protest where he literally embraced Bell. Yet none, seemingly, bothered to track down and report on the content of the speech itself--or on Bell's radical ideas. A PBS election special in 2008 showed footage of the protest but dubbed over critical portions of Obama's speech in which he endorsed Bell. A selectively edited clip released by Buzzfeed yesterday included...

Via Lachlan Markay at Heritage, we learn a Derrick A. Bell visited the Obama White House twice in 2010. The White House did not return a request for comment. The visits were on 1/29/2010, a Friday and 1/31/2010, a Sunday. For now, a web search of news reports did not turn up why Bell may have been in Washington that particular weekend. Heritage could not independently confirm that the Derrick A. Bell listed is the same individual who spoke at the rally. The White House did not return a request for comment.

Video. I have never seen a guy so masterfully shred an entire panel of lefties the way Pollak does here. If you're on the Maobama/Bell story it's a must see. Nearly 1,500 comments at the link.

The back-and-forth between CNN’s Soledad O’Brien and Breitbart.com Chief Editor Joel Pollak continued on this morning’s Starting Point, as O’Brien sought to dispel misinformation about the late Professor Derrick Bell and Critical Race Theory, which have been the subject of smears by the Big sites. After a tough interview with O’Brien last week, Pollak’s Big sites went on a vengeful tirade against the CNN anchor, posting a flurry of articles seeking to discredit her, and promoting their warped vision of Prof. Bell. Last week, Breitbart.com released one of the “bombshell” videos that the late Andrew Breitbart promised at this years...

This morning during her panel discussion on the Obama tape and Derrick Bell, Soledad O'Brien lost control of her show and became very upset towards Breitbart.com's Joel Pollack. The reason why wasn't disclosed: O'Brien was a huge fan of Derrick Bell.

A Wikipedia article devoted to Critical Race Theory, a controversial legal theory crafted to respond to the alleged role of “white supremacy” in American law, was placed on a temporary editing lockdown over the weekend after bloggers determined that CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien had relied on Wikipedia’s introductory definition of the theory — verbatim — during on an-air debate. A second lock was placed on the article Monday to protect it from politically biased editors who adjusted it following O’Brien’s gaffe. The flurry began after Breitbart.com editor Joel Pollak made a guest appearance on O’Brien’s show to explain a video...

CNN’s Soledad O’Brien isn’t used to criticism. In the world of media elites, she’s a beloved figure and an award-winning news anchor. But last week, she revealed her true, decidedly non-neutral colors. And she’s not happy about the hoi polloi questioning her hallowed journalistic objectivity. On Thursday, O’Brien interviewed Joel Pollak, editor-in-chief of the late Andrew Breitbart’s online empire. Breitbart’s BigGovernment.com released a 1991 video of Barack Obama (then a 30-year-old law student) at a Harvard rally embracing radical racialist Derrick Bell and his push for more aggressive race-based hiring at Harvard. Bell is a proponent of critical race theory...

What's the Matter with Soledad O'Brien? CNN's Soledad O'Brien isn't used to criticism. In the world of media elites, she's a beloved figure and an award-winning news anchor. O'Brien told off her critics at the end of the segment. "See? That was our critical race theory 101. Stop tweeting me. We have moved on, people," Soledad insisted condescendingly. A transcript of the segment, which aired on March 12 on Starting Point at 8:32 a.m. EST, is as follows: SOLEDAD O'BRIEN: Alright, so it started there and it kind of went downhill from there. Let's bring in Dorothy Brown. She's a professor of law at Emory University and she teaches critical race theory. She literally wrote the book by that same name. Derrick Bell wrote the preface to the...

On Thursday, we brought you the story of CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien and her contentious interview over Critical Race Theory. O‘Brien contends the controversial theory isn’t, well, controversial (read the background here). But it appears O‘Brien’s viewers didn’t really agree....

Or, why Soledad O'Brien is so desperate to quash this story Not long before he passed away, Andrew Breitbart promised a proper vetting of Barack Obama. It began with the publication of the "The Love Song of Saul Alinsky" post at Breitbart.com. Obama was among several left wing radical panelists to speak following the 1998 play. It seems that a video of the discussion exists but the director of the play has declared “There is only one archive tape of the play and I have it,” Dickler informed our source. “It is not in Chicago.” Dickler told our source that...

Soledad O’Brien and her CNN panel manage to stumble into Contessa Brewer territory in this appearance by attempting to paint Breitbart.com editor-in-chief Joel Pollak as a racist for making a point about Barack Obama’s support for a proponent of “critical race theory” during his days at Harvard Law School. Joel ends up in an argument with a woefully unprepared O’Brien on the theory itself, but the actual facepalm moment goes to one of her panelists, who asks Joel why he’s so afraid of black people:

Derrick Bell, the radical left-wing professor with whom Barack Obama developed a long association, once admitted during a television interview that he, “lives to harass white folks”. Video emerged the other day of Obama as a law school student embracing Bell’s teachings on Critical Race Theory, the idea that the American political and justice systems are inherently racist. Obama says in the video, “Open your hearts and open your minds to the words of Prof. Derrick Bell,” before physically embracing Bell. White House records show Bell repeatedly visited Obama in 2010.

In the version dated January 31, 2012, the words "white supremacy" and "racial power" appear. Although no set of canonical doctrines or methodologies defines CRT, the movement is loosely unified by two common areas of inquiry. First, CRT has analyzed the way in which white supremacy and racial power are reproduced over time, and in particular, the role that law plays in this process. (Emphasis added.) However, the current version states the following: Although no set of canonical doctrines or methodologies defines CRT, the movement is loosely unified by two common areas of inquiry. First, CRT has analyzed the way...

Soledad O'Brien demonstrated one of the most egregious and embarrassing cases of media bias I've ever seen this morning after arguing with Harvard Law grad Joel Pollak about race at Harvard and Critical Race Theory. O'Brien got so over her head, she leaned upon a panelist who reverted to race card as his argument.

Via Dan Riehl and Ace, this almost too good to check. Go read Rebel Pundit’s post for an explanation, then skip to 2:00 below. (If you missed Ed’s post this morning, by all means watch the whole thing.) After sneering at Joel Pollak for supposedly mischaracterizing the discipline and then refusing to define it herself, she finally demonstrates her grasp of Critical Race Theory by uncorking a definition that’s curiously similar to … the opening of Wikipedia’s intro on CRT, replete with the noncolloquial use of “intersection” to describe an interdisciplinary study. Could be a coincidence — the definition she...

Pardon me for just a moment....(Vanity) But if you have not watched the video of CNN this morning with Soledad O'Brien mocking Joel Pollack of Breitbart.com for the Obama Harvard video...then please...go view it. http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2012/03/08/The%20Vetting%20CNN%20Implodes%20Over%20Obama%20Bell%20Video After you are finished...send CNN a note at this link: http://www.cnn.com/feedback/show/?s=generalcomments&hdln=4 To demand that Soledad be removed from the air or that a disclaimer be shown that she is a member of the Democratic Party every single time her face appears on the screen. Her along with her panel today showed what true liberal media bias is and we should not let it go unnoticed....
