Former presidential candidate Ron Paul reacted to President Obama's SOTU address with John Stossel on Fox Business Network. Paul said in the speech, "certainly we didn't get any answers tonight" to the key issues facing the nation. "Everything on the surface looks like it's welfare-ism and warfare-ism. But I think underneath there's a smoldering desire that is growing by leaps and bounds that saying that a lot of people in this country have had enough of it..."

Apparently Rubio taking a sip of water is a big deal. In fact the left is trying to call it a drinking problem.That's how you know they don't have the intellectual fortitude to respond to his response.

Fiscal Policy: President Obama now says the deficit problem is all but fixed, so we can stop all this unpleasant talk about spending cuts and get on with government spending. Maybe this is good politics, but it's reckless policy. In the run-up to his State of the Union speech, Obama was running around telling everyone how we've already "cut our deficit by more than $2.5 trillion," and are now "more than halfway towards the $4 trillion in deficit reduction that economists . .. say we need to stabilize our debt." USA Today reported Jan. 21 that President Obama was setting aside much of that weekend to work on his State of the Union address. He should have just worked on the state of the union. I can hardly fault the president for using the occasion to make a campaign speech. All presidents do in election years. But in so doing, they usually point to all the good they accomplished during their first term in office. But there’s very little good to which President Barack Obama can point.
