Why would CNN’s Jake Tapper bring a U.S. soldier on his show and blatantly insult him and the 11 SEALS and 8 soldiers who died alongside him in combat in Afghanistan? Answer: He wouldn’t. He didn’t. But thanks to conservative radio personality and world renowned dingbat Glenn Beck and The Blaze‘s Oliver Darcy, Tapper was still up at 2 a.m. this morning arguing for journalism to happen. In other words, he wanted his words interpreted fairly. He wanted what he voiced Friday to be spelled out without the glaze of crazy. On his program Friday, Tapper interviewed former Navy SEAL...

What an awful display of liberal media bias. Jake Tapper lectured former Navy SEAL and war hero Marcus Lutrell about “senseless war” yesterday. Tapper was talking about the war in Afghanistan, a war that was started only after Al-Qaeda blew up the World Trade Center Towers in New York City kiling 3,000 Americans. Mark Burnett wants to take “Survivor” back to the Middle East. The CBS reality series — which wraps its 23rd season Sunday night — was forced to abruptly relocate from Wadi Rum, Jordan to the Marquesas Islands following the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. Since then, most American productions have avoided the region completely — mostly out of concern for safety. “I would love nothing more than to be hanging out in Wadi Rum shooting ‘Survivor,’ ” Burnett tells The Post. “We would do the same thing we were planning. The determined pet swam six miles through ferocious shark-infested seas to an island, where she survived for more than four months by hunting wild goats for food. At my dinner table on Friday night, a holocaust survivor admits that she is trying to persuade her son to take his family out of Europe to America, Canada, Australia, Canada, Australia, Israel...’They say they can’t leave me, but I tell them: “Go, get out. My parents left my grandparents behind in Berlin and brought me to safety in England. Now I want you to leave so that my grandchildren will be safe.”’ There is an unbearable desperation in her plea. But she has a point. As tens of thousands of demonstrators march through the streets of Europe, the chants...

Charles Dragich survived the fighting in the Philippines, the Bataan Death March, a "hell ship," two bouts of malaria, near starvation, an air raid and slave labor. He emerged from a Japanese prisoner of war camp in 1945 at half his normal weight of 160 pounds, then promptly re-enlisted. He wore the uniform of the Army, and later the Air Force, for 26 years, retiring in 1964 as a chief master sergeant.Rather improbably and inexplicably, Dragich left the military without any decorations for fighting and surviving one of World War II’s most inhumane episodes — a forced 65-mile march in which...

WASHINGTON, Nov. 21, 2008 – The Air Force Warrior and Survivor Care Program is reaching out to wounded airmen from the point injury on the battlefield and throughout their rehabilitation and reintegration and beyond, the program’s manager said yesterday. The program’s success relies largely on family liaison officers and community readiness consultants, John Beckett said in a “Dot Mil Docs” radio interview on BlogTalkRadio.com. “The backbone of that entire program is what we call the family liaison officer,” he said. “The family liaison officer is assigned to a family to be their personalized assistant, if you will, to help...
