Two women were charged with prostitution in Camden County on Thursday after they were arrested in a sting operation at a Lake Ozark hotel last week. Two other women were also arrested, and three of the women are pregnant. Alexandra Wells and Allysia Waldrop were both charged on Thursday. Waldrop is pregnant, but is not known if Wells is also. The undercover bust went down at a Lake Ozark area hotel after the sheriff's department received several reports that pregnant women were advertising prostitution on an internet advertising site. One of the women arrested was eight months pregnant, another six...

In a bizarrely timed housecleaning, Minaya fired Willie Randolph, pitching coach Rick Peterson and first base coach Tom Nieto shortly before midnight West Coast time (3 a.m. in New York) after all three had just returned from a 9-6 win here over the first-place Angels. Randolph was replaced by bench coach Jerry Manuel, a former AL Manager of the Year with the White Sox, while Triple-A New Orleans pitching coach Dan Warthen is taking over for Peterson. New Orleans manager Ken Oberkfell also is joining Manuel's staff along with Luis Aguyo. Minaya, who had flown to California during the game,...

Clinic: have vasectomy, watch NCAA hoops Sun Mar 9, 5:54 AM ET SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - For guys who park in front of the TV during college basketball's March Madness, the Oregon Urology Institute has a suggestion: Why not use that time to recover from a vasectomy? "When March Madness approaches you need an excuse ... to stay at home in front of the big screen," the clinic's radio ad says. "Get your vasectomy at Oregon Urology Institute the day before the tournament starts. It's snip city." Institute Administrator Terry FitzPatrick said men need two to four days to recover from...

Fragments of a cassock worn by Pope John Paul II are being offered for sale to the faithful, causing concern in the Vatican over the resurgence in the veneration of relics. Devotees of John Paul can apply via e-mail, fax or post for fragments of a white cassock to augment their prayers. A cassock worn by John Paul has reportedly been cut into 100,000 pieces to satisfy demand. The scheme is run by the Vicariate of Rome, which is promoting sainthood for John Paul. The faithful also receive a “holy card” with a prayer to “obtain graces through the intercession...

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- White students at Tarleton State University in Texas hold a party in which they dress in gang gear and drink malt liquor from paper bags. A white Clemson University student attends a bash in blackface over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend. A fraternity at Johns Hopkins University invites partygoers to wear "bling bling" grills, or shiny metal caps on their teeth. From Connecticut to Colorado, "gangsta" theme parties thrown by whites are drawing the ire of college officials and heated complaints from black and white students who say the antics conjure the worst racial stereotypes....

RUSSIA’S rich have been out in force doing what they do best — spending money conspicuously. Some of the world’s most luxurious brands and services worth $600 million (£316 million) were sold at Moscow’s Millionaire Fair over the weekend. Almost 40,000 Russians, double the number last year, attended the four-day festival devoted to extravagant excess. Those with cash to burn were spoilt for choice. Beautiful girls paraded the world’s most expensive telephones at the Goldvish stand, including one model encrusted with 2,000 diamonds for the oligarch who has everything. Ilgar Rustamov, a sales director, said that there were just three...

Some call it corny. Others call it ghastly. And some will no doubt find it magnificent. But whatever it may be, the life-size statue of Princess Diana and her companion Emad "Dodi" Fayed will soon be among the pricey food and clothing displays at London's Harrods department store. Dodi's father Mohamed al Fayed — the multimillionaire owner of Harrods — had tried years ago to erect a 10-foot-high memorial to the couple, but public reaction had foiled his plans. Now, on the eighth anniversary of the tragic car crash that killed Lady Di and her boyfriend in Paris on Aug. 31,...

No naked athletes in modern times BY DAVE BARRY ATHENS -- The Olympics formally got under way Friday with an opening ceremony that is almost impossible to describe using mere words because I'm writing this before it actually happened. But I'm sure it was spectacular because the Greeks are so proud to be staging these Olympics, just as they staged the very first Olympic Games in 776 BC (27.3 Celsius). Those first Olympics were quite different from the modern Games. There was only one sponsor (Samsung) and the competitors had to inject their drugs with primitive bamboo syringes. Also, of...

A photograph that became an enduring symbol of patriotism and firefighter resolve at Ground Zero is being used to promote a credit card. The MBNA "Spirit of America" MasterCard is emblazoned with the world-famous image of three FDNY firefighters heaving a flag over the World Trade Center wreckage. A tiny portion of the card's proceeds benefits two small charities, including The Bravest Fund, established by the three firefighters. But a Daily News inquiry into The Bravest Fund's background has raised several questions about how the charity operates. The fund has not registered with the state attorney general's office, as required...

He says the Bush administration violated his wife's privacy by revealing that she worked for the CIA. But now Spygate accuser Joseph Wilson is sharing with reporters intimate details about his relationship with the allegedly secretive Valerie Plame, offering an account of the couple's "heavy make-out" session just before she told him she worked for the CIA. Wilson, who said recently he would have sacrificed anything to guard his wife's privacy, offers the steamy details in the Jan. 2004 issue of Vanity Fair magazine. The move has even supporters wondering if he's blown his credibility as a White House whistleblower...

<p>At least a dozen of New York's Bravest - some of them assigned to look after Sept. 11 widows - have left their wives for the spouses of their comrades killed in the terror attacks, sources told The Post.</p>
<p>"It's disgusting, heartbreaking what they've done," said Mary Koenig, whose husband, Gerry Koenig of Staten Island's Rescue 5 squad, ditched her and their two kids for Madeline Bergin, the widow of his friend and firehouse mate, John Bergin, after the World Trade Center attacks.</p>

<p>NEW YORK -- With its gold-plated faucets and bidets, marble-covered walls and man-made waterfalls, some of Saddam Hussein`s palaces have proven just as lavish as many imagined.</p>
<p>But experts in Islamic and Middle Eastern architecture say the structures are not much more than displays of tawdry ostentation -- and bear little resemblance to the classic, majestic palaces of the past.</p>

Pink chiffon sanctum for playboy son's seduction of defenceless 'conquests' THE women of the US forces were not impressed. But other women, brought into this same place, once had no choice but to feign admiration for the surroundings. This was one of the innermost sanctums of the Saddam regime - a pink chiffon hideaway where the dictator's playboy son Uday appears to have entertained defenceless sexual "conquests". Two minutes south along the Tigris from Saddam's giant Republican Palace, the sight of Arabian nights minarets, heart-shaped pillows and a swimming pool with waterside bar are the first indications that this is...

Bare hostess ... cabin girl Hillary Vinson on Hooters' maiden flight SEXY hostesses have taken off plenty for the debut of a new airline — called Hooters Air. Cabin girls wore tight vests and hotpants on the maiden flight of the US service which calls itself “delightfully tacky”. Boss Robert Brooks, who already has a chain of 330 Hooters restaurants, said: “We aim to bring fun back to flying. We’re politically incorrect and everyone knows it.” No plane Janes ... Hillary and colleague Cameron Brooks Robert hopes to lure golfers and other sportsmen away from rival airlines with £80 flights...
