On the same day that thousands of rockets rained down on innocent Israeli citizens, photos and videos emerged of people dancing in the street. This time, those images were not broadcast from Middle Eastern cities but instead filmed right here in the United States. The examples are well-known. A man in Boston holds up a phone showing a beheaded baby and makes an obscene hand gesture to the camera, recording his laughter. A hijab-wearing woman at a Democratic Socialists of America rally says she’s glad for the Hamas attack and does not consider herself an American. Students in Cooper Union lead...

A judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by a leader of one of New Hampshire's teachers' unions to stop public dollars from being spent to fund private schools through the Education Freedom Account program, saying she has not shown that it violates the state constitution. The lawsuit was filed in Merrimack County Superior Court last year. It sought an injunction to stop the voucher-like program. Deb Howes, president of the American Federation of Teachers New Hampshire, had said the program runs afoul of the constitution because money from the state's education trust fund is specifically set aside for public education...

American Federation of Teachers (AFT) PresidentRandi Weingarten was slapped with an X community note after asking where the “women” were during an all-male Jewish prayer service. Weingarten, who said in 2010 she considers herself to be a “deeply religious” Jew, quoted Jewish conservative commentator Mark Levin’s video footage of the minyan — a quorum of Jewish adults, traditionally male, required for certain religious observances — outside the White House. “Where are the women?” Weingarten asked in the post, which has its comments section limited to Weingarten’s followers. The post garnered a response from Levin as well as a community note...

Movement of Rank and File Educators will join the Democratic Socialists of America for a 'Ceasefire Now Rally for Gaza' A subsidiary of the nation’s second-largest teachers' union will join the Democratic Socialists of America to protest Israel’s retaliatory strikes against Hamas terrorists. The Movement of Rank and File Educators, which describes itself as a "caucus of the United Federation of Teachers," will cosponsor Friday’s "Ceasefire Now Rally for Gaza" in New York City. The presence of the group, which claims it "fights for social justice" and "empowers workers in schools," could cause problems for its parent organization. The Democratic...

Families are voting with their feet to charter schools, which are increasingly resisted by school boards and teacher unions. Diana Diaz-Harrison, above, started a charter in Arizona to fill a gap: no specialized services for children like her autistic son Sammy. . A vote by the Los Angeles board of education vote last month to ban charter schools from sharing space at 300 district campuses is the latest big-city attack against alternatives to struggling traditional public schools. With the strong support of United Teachers Los Angeles, school board members say the ban will protect black and Latino students from the...

Many on the right are waking up to public schools indoctrinating children into woke ideologies. X (formerly Twitter) accounts like Libs of TikTok have been exposing public school teachers as Marxists, intent on coaxing children into their gnostic cults. The right has been predictably outraged and has shown up in force for school board meetings demanding change. A few teachers have been fired, but there appears to be an endless supply of replacements in the ideological war. Most normal Americans have started understanding that “diversity” is a common Marxist buzzword. When a Marxist uses the word “diversity,” he does not...

If you told me I’d share anything in common with the vicious racist hypocrite and Marxist Chicago Teacher’s Union boss Stacy Davis Gates, I would have said you were a drooling madman. But wait: Stacy Davis Gates and I share one thing in common we share with our kids. And it’s beautiful. It’s so damn beautiful that I could cry. We appreciate The Beautiful Game, which Americans call soccer, but those who love it call it futbol. Our twin sons played it growing up through high school and college, and still play today. But we did not move to the...

Most of what is called Christianity today in America is very, very weak, causing the apostasy, which drives any nation. No one wants to deal with it and, when you do, you are mocked, called names, etc. Why? Well, when people cannot defend their position from God's Word, they are left to personally attack you, which is what they did to those in Scripture. The difference is that then soon here, the attacks were bodily, to the point of death by crucifixion, upside down in Peter's case, in Jerusalem. Not a single person in Scripture dealt with heresy nicely, nor...

After another summer of radical activity from the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers, Congress should revoke the unique federal charter of the former, and federal agencies should ensure both groups comply fully with labor laws. Both unions long ago abandoned their proper missions, namely ensuring reasonable working conditions for school staff. Both now are avatars of the extreme Left, focused less on educational attainment than on partisan political activism and radical social crusades. TEACHERS UNIONS SPENT SUMMER SCHEMING HOW TO BRING LIBERAL IDEAS INTO CLASSROOMSWitness the major summer conferences of each organization this year. As highlighted...
