The GOP needs a Tea Party candidate -- either Sarah Palin or someone very like her. Alas, it's going to have to wait until 2016 to get its rogue.

Public Advocate of the United States, a non-profit “conservative advocacy group” run by Loudoun County Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio, has been added to the Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) hate map as an anti-gay organization. SPLC listed Public Advocate as an “active hate group” in 2011 based on research compiled through hate group publications and websites, citizen and law enforcement reports, field sources and news reports. According to the SPLC, an internationally recognized civil rights non-profit, “all hate groups have beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics.” Delgaudio (R-Sterling) founded Public...

MANASSAS, Va., March 27, 2012 -- /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Rick Santorum's big win in Louisiana, where he crushed Mitt Romney almost 2 to 1, was powered by grassroots conservatives, not big name Republican Party endorsements, said Richard A. Viguerie, Chairman of ConservativeHQ.com. "In Louisiana, grassroots movement conservative voters rejected the pressure from establishment Republican insiders and big name Washington operators who want to end the contest for the Republican presidential nomination before the Tampa GOP Convention," said Viguerie. "Principled conservatives at the national, state, and local levels, as well as Tea Party activists, are ignoring the calls by GOP politicians to...

Have blacks in America achieved the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and become truly “Free at Last?” This is the question recently tackled in the brave and powerful documentary Runaway Slave a new film which exposes the economic and social enslavement of the black community to the progressive policies of the US Government. Rev. C. L. Bryant hosts the movie revealing the “new underground railroad” and the mindset of a cultural acceptance of entitlements and big government. Bryant’s own life provides unique insights into the racial and political issues of the day. A former Chapter President of the...

With the Republican presidential nomination almost in his grasp, Mitt Romney rolled out a notable endorsement last week, from a former governor of Florida. It was notable not because it's likely to change the mind of any voter, but because it required the Romney campaign to utter a four-letter word it has been loath to use: Bush. The presidential candidates never tire of reminding us theirs is the party of Ronald Reagan and Abraham Lincoln. That the modern version is, more than anything else, the party of Bush is something they prefer to omit. The last two Republican presidents were members of...

Whoever chooses to merely dismiss the significance of today’s exchange between our President and Russia’s President should have their intelligence and patriotism questioned. Let this exchange be a warning to voters: President Obama will have “more flexibility” to weaken us if he’s re-elected in November. He was caught speaking candidly to Russian President Dmitri Medvedev before a “hot mic” today (and surely one must believe he didn’t know the mics were still on; surely he’s not so audacious as to purposefully broadcast his intentions), as reported by ABC’s Jake Tapper. Here’s the exchange: President Obama: On all these issues, but...

Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid spoke on the Senate floor today regarding the transportation jobs bill and legislation to repeal subsidies for big oil companies raking in record profits. Below are his remarks as prepared for delivery:Tens of thousands of bridges and millions of miles of roadways across the country are in a state of disrepair. But, rather than putting Americans to work fixing those roads and bridges – and repairing crumbling train tracks, highways and sidewalks across the nation – House Republican leaders are pandering to the Tea Party. As if putting the Tea Party ahead of efforts to...

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his Cold Case Posse presented their preliminary findings in their investigation of President Barack Obama’s birth certificate in a press conference March 1. Since then, Surprise Tea Party member Brian Reilly said those findings have not received adequate coverage. With that in mind, the Surprise and Sun City West Tea Parties will host a second presentation of those findings March 31 at the Church on the Green, with Arpaio and lead investigator Mike Zullo in attendance. “Right now, we have, in my opinion, a huge constitutional crisis,” Reilly said. “We have a situation involving,...

.......Chelsey Dargis, 21, who is studying to be a teacher, voted in Metairie for Mr. Romney because she said she thought he would reach out to independents. “I have Republican qualities, but I also agree with Democrats,” Ms. Dargis said, citing her approval of abortion rights and same-sex marriage. “I like Mitt Romney better because he once was a Democrat. He still has to have somewhat of the mind-set of a Democrat.”

According to the latest census, the average American household-income decreased, while the official poverty rate increased to 15.1%. That means there are now over 46 million Americans living in poverty. Writing in his book "Tea Party Culture War, A clash of Worldviews" author Stephen Johnston declares America is at a financial crossroads. Economist Stephen Johnston writes about what's at stake in this election, culturally, economically, politically and spiritually. Johnston writes that America's direction will ultimately be determined by our next elected officials. He believes this year's election cycle will decide whether our nation becomes a godless socialist country or an...

As a lifelong Democrat, I never thought I would be in this place. I never thought I would have to confront this dreaded unforeseen fear - the terror that is for me, dating a Republican. I don’t even know very many Republicans. But it turns out, I’m not alone. Outside of Washington D.C., the entire country is pretty segregated when it comes to political parties. According to dating website, seven out of ten people are in a relationship with someone of the same political persuasion. I grew up knowing very few Republicans and the rare ones I did know got...

The White House may not be happy about Marine Sgt. Gary Stein’s Facebook fan page criticizing the commander in chief, but the social media have embraced him, making his page a beehive of conversation and soaring his “likes” count to over 21,000 and growing. Stein’s Armed Forces Tea Party page was founded in April 2010 as a way to give even active military members a forum for voicing opposition to the Obama administration’s allegedly unconstitutional actions.

(CNSNews.com/Penny Starr) (CNSNews.com) - Landmark Legal Foundation sent a letter on Friday to the Treasury Department’s Inspector General for Tax Administration requesting an investigation to determine whether officials with the Internal Revenue Service have engaged in misconduct in dealing with applications from Tea Party groups seeking tax-exempt status under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. “Landmark Legal Foundation requests an immediate investigation into possible misconduct by the Internal Revenue Service’s Exempt Organization (EO) Divisoin that calls into question the integrity of federal tax administration and IRS programs,” said the letter signed by Landmark President Mark Levin....

Rick Santorum's latest attempt to use a Mitt Romney aide's "Etch-A-Sketch" remark against the Republican front-runner instead gave his rival a chance to fire back on Thursday, after Santorum seemed to say he'd rather see President Obama reelected than send Romney to the White House. Speaking at an event in Texas, Santorum again made the case that Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom's comments Wednesday on CNN about a "reset" of the campaign if Romney clinched the nomination showed the former Massachusetts governor's efforts to appeal to conservatives were insincere. "You win by giving people the opportunity to see a different vision...

While much of the conservative movement has seemingly lined up to oppose former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s ascent in the contest for the Republican presidential nomination, high-profile defenders of Gingrich have been few and far between. But Gingrich does have one outspoken defender, conservative talker and author of “Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America,” Mark Levin. “I’m going to tell you something. Newt Gingrich was the former Republican Speaker of the House, the first Republican Speaker of the House in almost half a century, and he was fighting the Democrats and to win the House of Representatives before most of the...

The recent release of a tape by Andrew Breitbart's outfit sparked renewed interest in President Obama's murky past. In anticipation, conservatives were elated that the president might finally be exposed. The tape showed Obama, then at Harvard Law, orchestrating a protest on behalf of Derrick Bell. Without providing any background on just how radical is Professor Bell, the compliant liberal media derisively dismissed it all as conservative paranoia, even proclaiming presidential vindication. It still appears preposterous to purport that America elected a communist ideologue. The world's greatest beneficiary of capitalist bounty would never willingly empower a radical socialist to "fundamentally...

On Wednesday, former Florida Governor and Republican Party heavyweight Jeb Bush endorsed Mitt Romney for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination. But some believe the Bush endorsement may actually have more to do with Sarah Palin (and her tacit endorsements of Newt Gingrich) than Mitt Romney. "I am endorsing Mitt Romney for our Party¹s nomination," Bush announced Wednesday. "We face huge challenges, and we need a leader who understands the economy, recognizes more government regulation is not the answer, believes in entrepreneurial capitalism and works to ensure that all Americans have the opportunity to succeed." To state categorically that some in...

The conservative Club for Growth on Wednesday came out against the new House Republican budget proposal authored by Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (Wis.). The Club faulted the Ryan plan for not balancing the budget quickly enough and for turning off the automatic spending cuts triggered by the failure of last year’s supercommittee. Ryan and House GOP leaders are facing continued unrest among Tea Party-backed conservatives in the House over the details of the Ryan plan, which does not balance the budget until 2040. The Club for Growth statement could embolden a floor rebellion against the 2013 budget. “Despite containing...
