November 19, 2015 Katrina Pierson: Donald Trump's new press secretary is black Tea Party activist Staff Report Katrina Pierson is the new face on the Trump campaign. Pierson, a former Republican congressional candidate and longtime supporter of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), has found her niche with Trump’s 2016 presidential election team. Donald’s national spokeswoman, is, in typical Trump fashion, nice eye candy on the arm of the real estate mogul. But she’s much more than that, Trump says. Polling shows Trump to be dominant in New Hampshire, the first primary state of the nation. He's led every poll there since September, almost always by double digits and sometimes doubling or even tripling the support of his nearest rival. He edges Ben Carson in Iowa half a percentage point, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls taken there in the last month--statistically insignificant, but evidence that a Trump victory in the nation's first caucus can't be ruled out--and could likely be followed by a blowout victory in New Hampshire. "Trump's got an organization in place," Tyler DeHaan, the chairman...

Americans with common sense celebrated the success of a recent Houston referendum repealing an ordinance that would, among other things, have forced private-property owners to permit an individual to use the restroom of his choice rather than the one assigned to his genetically determined sex. But those celebrants might want to put the corks back in their champagne bottles for the time being: A bill currently in Congress and endorsed by President Barack Obama could impose that same policy on the entire country

According to a new poll by Public Policy Polling, Donald Trump continues to be the frontrunner for the Republican nomination. The billionaire businessman has 26% support among Republican voters. He's followed by retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson with 19%. In PPP's last poll from early October, Carson had 17% and Trump 27%. This is a positive development for those who want Trump to fail, but it's a far cry from the inevitable Trump collapse many experts predict. If one thing is clear, it's that he certainly has staying power. That doesn't mean he will actually win, but he certainly has a...

Gonzalez claims he was unfairly targeted because he was carrying a gun. The traffic stop began routine enough. Rosenberg officer Sgt. Anthony Schnacky asked Gonzalez for his license and insurance. "Yeah, what's the reason you stopped me?" Gonzalez asked. "I'll tell you in just a minute," the officer replied. But when Gonzalez informed Sgt. Schnacky that he was legally carrying a concealed firearm, the tone of the situation shifted dramatically. The officer called for backup and they both approached the driver's window -- one of them with his gun drawn. Schnacky ordered Gonzalez to put his hands on the steering...

Putting U.S. troops on the ground in Syria to counter the Islamic State and take on Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime would be a mistake, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Wednesday. The journey comes with challenges big and small. Nabeel Hasan had to change his name, after officials spelled his name wrong on immigration documents. “It was double “s†but when they put it in the I-94, they put in one “sâ€.
