The quote in the title comes from a new op-ed published at Politico by Ryan Graves, a Navy F/A-18 fighter pilot who was one of many military officers who encountered anomalous objects in our restricted military airspace off the coast of Virginia in 2014. In the article, he reviews some of the recent activity of balloons (or âobjectsâ or âballoon-like entitiesâ or whatever weâre calling them this week) in American airspace and the Pentagonâs response to them. Graves has plenty of experience with UFOs because âthose damn thingsâ had been plaguing his fighter squadron for eight months during the period...

On a clear, sunny day in April 2014, two F/A-18s took off for an air combat training mission off the coast of Virginia. The jets, part of my Navy fighter squadron, climbed to an altitude of 12,000 and steered towards Warning Area W-72, an exclusive block of airspace ten miles east of Virginia Beach. All traffic into the training area goes through a single GPS point at a set altitude â almost like a doorway into a massive room where military jets can operate without running into other aircraft. Just at the moment the two jets crossed the threshold, one...

The recent spate of incidents involving unidentified objects being shot down by US fighter jets has seen a surge of interest in the UFO phenomenon and the possibility of extraterrestrial visitation over the last few weeks. Just recently, a video of US President Joe Biden emerged which seemed to confirm that these objects were indeed extraterrestrial in nature. The clip, which showed Biden giving an official statement from a podium (presumably in the White House), quickly went on to attract a lot of attention on social media. "I am here today to inform you that a number of unidentified flying...

Feb. 12: Lake Huron Location and altitude: The object was around 20,000 feet, soaring near the eastern portion of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It was shot down over Lake Huron, "about 15 nautical miles east of the Upper Peninsula," VanHerck said. Size and shape: "It presented as an octagonal structure with strings hanging off but no discernable payload," a senior Biden administration official said. What shot it down: An F-16, firing an AIM-9X Sidewinder missile. Reason given: "We did not assess it to be a kinetic military threat to anything on the ground," the North American Aerospace Defense Command said, "but...

WASHINGTON â The Biden administration is forming an interagency group to address the recent spate of objects in the skies above North America, the White House announced Monday. "The president, through his national security adviser, has today directed an interagency team to study the broader policy implications for detection, analysis and disposition of unidentified aerial objects that pose either safety or security risks," National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said at a White House briefing. "Every element of the government will redouble their efforts to understand and mitigate these events," he said. Kirby said the national security team's task is...

According to US officials, the Air Force F-16 that shot down an object over Lake Huron on Sunday missed its first attempt. âA second Sidewinder air-to-air missile was needed.â Fox News reported. It is unclear where the first missile landed.

The pilots of US Air Force F-35 fighters sent to intercept the mystery object over Alaska on Friday say that whatever it was had been âinterfering with the sensors of their aircraftâ before they shot it down. Three unidentified objects have been spotted over North America in the past 10 days. The first, a giant airship âthe size of three busesâ is understood to have originated in China although the US and Chinese governments disagree about its exact purpose. While the Pentagon says it was a spy balloon, China says the monster airship was a civilian craft designed to monitor...

Things are getting sporty over the Greta Lakes this Sunday. First it was the FAA closing airspace over Lake Michigan while military planes conducted a patrol, now Canada has closed airspace over Lake Huron due to an âactive air defense operationâ somewhere over Tobermory, Ontario. ..... Snip..... Rep. Elissa Slotkin @RepSlotkin ¡ Just got a call from @DeptofDefense â our military has an extremely close eye on the object above Lake Huron. Weâll know more about what this was in the coming days, but for now, be assured that all parties have been laser-focused on it from the moment it...

You think youâve heard it all with the latest potential spycraft, but you havenât heard anything yet. NORAD hasnât ruled out space aliens.Thatâs what Gen. Van Herck said. We have the tape.US F-16 jets shot down another unknown object over Lake Huron today. The Pentagon said they have not ruled out extraterrestrial activity. âI havenât ruled out anything at this point,â said Gen. Glen D. Van Herck. The UFOs not being balloons would be crazy enough, but things get even weirder when you hear a top US general admit that we donât even know what is keeping these objects in...

All of you who had âUFO invasionâ on your 2023 bingo card may now collect your prizes. After the United States shot down an âunidentified objectâ on Friday over Alaska, yesterday and today produced a cascading series of reports about strange objects being seen (and in some cases attacked) in the skies around the world. First, on Saturday, joint forces from the United States and Canada shot down another one over a remote region of Yukon in the northwestern part of the country. But just like the one over Alaska, this didnât look like a balloon at first, and Canadian...

Good news, everybody. All those UFOs being shot down over the US and Canada might not be from China after all, leaving the possibility that itâs just an alien invasion on the table.According to the Chicoms, they have detected an unidentified craft over Rizhao and have scrambled jets in response, warning fishermen to stay alert if something comes crashing down out of the sky.MORE â Chinese authorities were preparing to shoot down a UFO.pic.twitter.com/ihpkBhVy3bâ Disclose.tv (@disclosetv) February 12, 2023That news was about an hour old as of this writing and no further news has been released on whether China successfully...

As RedState reported, another shoot-down has taken place, this time over Lake Huron in US airspace. That followed a frenzy over the last several days of intercepts of unidentified flying objects, with others downed over Alaska and Canada. What in the world is going on? We joke about it being aliens, but itâs not aliens, right? So why is the White House being so tight-lipped? Are we to believe the fighters that blew these things out of the sky werenât able to tell what they were? The current dynamic is just weird. We could be on the brink of a hot...

Alright, maybe I was too quick to dismiss the possibility of aliens. The Pentagon gave a briefing on Sunday evening after yet another unidentified flying object was shot down, this time in US airspace over Lake Huron. Reports began to circulate that the object was an âoctagonâ and that it didnât appear to be a balloon. That set off some speculation that the recent rash of UFOs were balloons, likely from China, but that they were simply shaped differently than one would expect. In a pretty shocking statement, though, Gen. Glen VanHerck made it clear thatâs not the view of the US...

Appearing on Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman, Mike McCaul, discusses the ongoing Biden administration battle in the sky with balloons, objects and various Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOâs). McCaul identifies China as the most likely culprit for sending the spy and surveillance equipment over North America, claiming the timing of the spycraft arrival against the backdrop of the military revealing the latest stealth bomber, the âB-21 Raider,â does not seem coincidental. Additionally, because of course he does, Chairman McCaul notes that if we do not continue to send billions to Ukraine, then China and Russia...

The Wall Street Journal reported the object shot down over by U.S. planes Lake Huron Sunday afternoon was âshaped like an octagon.â Rep. Jack Bergman (R-MI) said in an interview with Fox News a few minutes ago the object shot down by an F-16 that fired an AIM-9 Sidewinder missile was an âoctagonal structureâ over Lake Huron at about 20,000 feet. Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) implied in a statement the object was the same one tracked over Montana Saturday night (tweet posted further down in article. Canada's Defence Minister Anita Anand would not speculate on where the object came from. She described it as cylindrical in shape but said it was smaller than the Chinese balloon shot down off the coast of South Carolina in the US a week ago. It was flying at 40,000ft and posed a risk to civilian air traffic when it was brought down about 100 miles from the border at 3.41pm EST (8.41pm GMT), she added.
