A question I've been pondering recently; for how long has the US Constitution been dead to Democrats? Can anyone help me understand when, over the last 100 years or so, have they done anything to advance the cause of individual freedom and personal responsibility?

Talk about the ultimate joy ride. A local NBC affiliate in Richmond, Virginia reports that thieves stole a truck carrying hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment that travels with President Obama, including his Teleprompters. Officials recovered the truck on Monday. Here's the NBC 12 breakdown of the caper: When you see President Obama speak, there is a pretty typical setup including the presidential seal on a podium, the see-thru Teleprompter and a portable sound system. Thieves saw the truck carrying that equipment and couldn't resist the target.

CHICAGO—A federal judge on Monday delayed the sentencing for ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich on multiple corruption convictions, including attempted extortion for trying to sell or trade President Barack Obama's vacated U.S. Senate seat in exchange for campaign donations or a high-paying job. Freshman Congressman Jeff Landry, R-La., says that President Obama is misusing recess appointments, and he's going to do something about it. "When the president puts up nominees, they go through the confirmation process, and the senate blocks them or doesn't confirm them, and then he waits for a recess appointment just to appoint those people. He is circumventing the Constitution," said Landry on Fox News Saturday.

Barry Rubin cites Matt Bradley's Wall Street Journal interview with Amr Moussa -- the leading candidate in Egypt's presidential race -- to highlight the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood to power in Egypt's coming elections. The US has released five video clips of Osama bin Laden that it says was taken from the Pakistani compound where the leader of al-Qaeda was reportedly killed last week. The videos mainly show bin Laden rehearsing taped remarks, but there is also video showing him watching news coverage of himself on TV. NEW YORK - NBC News said Tuesday it has reprimanded the employee responsible for mistakenly flashing a picture of Osama bin Laden on MSNBC as Chris Matthews talked about Barack Obama.
