Last weekend, police broke up a major sex-trafficking ring in Colombia, which has become a destination for tourists looking for sex with boys and girls. The police had help from an American who went undercover to rescue the children. Tim Ballard has one mission: to track down child traffickers. Four months ago Colombian authorities asked him to investigate a tip that children were being sold there as sex slaves. American Tim Ballard helped authorities in Colombia bust a major sex-trafficking ring, saving 54 children. CBS NEWS "Within a half hour this individual walks up to me asking me what I'm...

Sound of Freedom stars Jim Caviezel as Tim Ballard, a special agent with the Department of Homeland Security who sets out to save children from sex trafficking rings. The 2023 action film has become a surprise hit at the box office after generating $14 million during its opening day on July 4, and it has continued to stand its ground against competing movies like Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and Insidious: The Red Door. A lot of Sound of Freedom's success relates to the fact that it claims to be based on a true story, so the elements...

“I don’t feel like Texas is my home anymore,” Lewis said simply. He ended up selling his home through a real estate service launched last summer by the Dallas-based broker, Bob McCranie, who sought to help LGBTQ+ people list their homes in Texas and then connect them with an agent in another state or even a different country where they’d like to go next. McCranie initially called it “Flee Texas,” but soon changed the name to reflect a broader group of people expressing interest in the service. “What we discovered was we got so much response from other states that...

Cherlisa Starks-Richardson was disappointed when she learned that the beloved children’s museum in her community was selling a “watermelon salad” in celebration of Juneteenth. Starks-Richardson, who often took her daughter to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum growing up, said she expected the museum would be more focused on educating the public about Juneteenth – which celebrates the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans – instead of serving themed foods. To make matters worse, she said, watermelon has historically been used as a racist trope against Black Americans. “People were very offended by it,” said Starks-Richardson, an educator in the Indianapolis area. “Everybody...

The Department of Homeland Security is planning to transport migrants awaiting immigration proceedings from U.S. cities along the southern border further into the interior of the country, beginning with Los Angeles in the coming weeks, according to internal documents obtained by NBC News. The plan would alleviate overcrowding along the border where record high numbers of border crossers have overwhelmed the capacity of local shelters in some cities, at times leading Customs and Border Protection to release migrants on the street to fend for themselves. Typically, migrants who are allowed to stay in the country and make asylum claims are...

History is an interesting thing. If a journalist doesn't want you to hear about it, they simply don't have to report it. Well what happens if a historian omitted facts in the same manner? What if, let's say for example, the Underground Railroad consisted of slaves escaping from a state deep in the throws of slavery northward to a different state and that state had abolished slavery? Well of course the historian wants you to focus on the slave continuing their journey up to Canada, but the reality is that not all continued on their course. What if many slaves...

Kanye West Breaks Down, Makes Dubious Claim About Harriet Tubman at South Carolina Rally Variety Jem Aswad VarietyJuly 19, 2020 Click here to read the full article. Kanye West broke down in tears, made an outrageous claim about abolitionist Harriet Tubman, had a heckler ejected and claimed his brain was too big for his skull on Sunday at the first campaign event for his bewildering presidential run. “Harriet Tubman never actually freed the slaves, she just had them work for other white people,” he said at one point in a rambling speech that bounded from one topic to another with...

Confounding media’s effort to blame him for riots. Despite the recent riots over police brutality, Rasmussen has indicated that black approval for the job President Trump is doing is now over 40%. “Our Daily Presidential Tracking poll today shows Black Likely Voter approval of the job @realDonaldTrump is now over 40%,” tweeted the polling agency. The full results of the poll are yet to be published, but the number suggests that the media’s campaign to frame Trump’s response to the riots as draconian and racist has completely failed. Our Daily Presidential Tracking poll today shows Black Likely Voter approval of...

I know the democrats don't teach the truth about Marxism/socialism in school but they can google it now. Perhaps educated and privileged blacks like Senator Booker could set up workshops teaching the truth about freedom vs socialism in the inner cities. And possibly workshops to teach job skills so these people can raise themselves out of poverty and crime.

June 19 is the premiere of "Uncle Tom," a documentary on which I am the executive producer. Through interviews with black conservatives, some well-known and some not, the film asks a simple question: Why are independent-thinking blacks, who believe in limited government and personal responsibility, denounced as "sellouts" and "coons" and "Uncle Toms" by fellow blacks? One can agree or disagree about whether, and to what degree, today's problems in the black community can be traced to slavery and Jim Crow. But blacks who do not connect the serious problems in black urban America to Jim Crow and slavery are...

BET co-founder Robert Johnson has condemned Joe Biden for claiming that black people aren’t really black if they don’t vote for him. “VP Biden’s statement today represents the arrogant and out-of-touch attitude of a paternalistic white candidate who has the audacity to tell Black people, the descendants of slaves, that they are not Black unless they vote for him,” Johnson said in a statement obtained by Fox News’s Bret Baier. “This proves unequivocally that the Democratic nominee believes that Black people owe him their vote without question; even though, we as Black people know it is exactly the opposite. He...

I am very tired of Joe Biden. My vote for him was already hanging by a thread before his disastrous interview with Charlamagne tha God on Friday. Interrupting the Breakfast Club host’s explanation that black people needed assurances that our communities will benefit from his presidency, Biden asserted: “If you’ve got a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or for Trump, then you ain’t black.” Again, I am very tired of Joe Biden. Not because I am a purist, or have inflexible ideological commitments of what it will take to remove Donald Trump from office. But rather because Biden’s...

Val Demings, a Democratic representative from Florida among contenders to be Joe Biden’s presidential running mate, has castigated Donald Trump for having the “gall and nerve” to use a gaffe by Biden as a weapon on the campaign trail. Biden apologised on Friday, for saying that if African Americans “have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black”. The remark prompted gleeful tweets from Trump, fierce attacks from supporters of the president and criticism from Biden’s own backers. “The vice-president shouldn’t have said it,” Demings told CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday. “But...

"I've lived under 12 presidential administrations," Scott said. "I was born during Eisenhower's administration. This president has been the most pro-black president in my lifetime. When I say 'pro,' I'm saying 'pro' as in proactive. He's been proactive rather than reactive to issues concerning minorities, underserved, and disadvantaged communities than any other president in my lifetime."

Some of the Democratic candidates for president support studying reparations to blacks to compensate for slavery. But in many ways, America has made reparations to blacks. What are race-based preferences if not a form of compensation for historical wrongs? Many cities have "set-aside" programs that award government contracts to minority contractors. President Lyndon Johnson pushed his Great Society programs to "end poverty and racial injustice." But few think of the federal government's housing policy, particularly the Community Reinvestment Act, or the CRA, as a form of reparations. But that is exactly what it was and still is. In many ways,...
