Bill Walker, and taking in a sightseeing moment in Turnagain Arm before returning to the sky again in his Boeing 747 for the journey back to Beijing. Xi's rest stop in Anchorage broke up his trip home following meetings with President Donald Trump at Trump's Mar-a-Lago country club in Florida and an earlier visit to Finland. The Alaska stop underscored the significance of the Arctic to China's long-term economic interests. For the Alaskans, trade and one of the...

"WALKER, LA - The frustrated mayor of Walker, Louisiana said Tuesday that the flooding event in his city was "man-made" and announced plans to file suit against the state of Louisiana and federal government. Walker Mayor Rick Ramsey said a six-foot tall concrete barrier that was put along I-12 when the interstate was expanded last year essentially put the city of Walker "into a bowl" because he said the barrier prevents water from draining out of Walker. "When the Amite River went up, it hit that wall," Ramsey said. "We have video evidence that shows the concrete barrier and...

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) says Hillary Clinton's response to the unrest occurring in Milwaukee is only making the situation worse."I think comments like that are just inflaming the situation," Walker told "Fox and Friends" Tuesday morning."I think people understand in that neighborhood and in Sherman Park and in Milwaukee, they want law enforcement to step up and protect them," he added. "The people who live in the neighborhood want police — they want the police in Milwaukee and the sheriff's department to step up and protect them. They didn't want the criminals who were doing those actions against those...

WAUKESHA -- It’s arguably the “red” heart of the Republican Party in Wisconsin, and on Wednesday night, July 27th, Waukesha played host to the first solo campaign stop of Gov. Mike Pence -- Donald Trump's running mate. The Indiana Republican spoke for about 30 minutes Wednesday at the Waukesha County Expo Center.

Monday Speakers Monday: Make America Safe Again From attacks on our own soil and overseas to the tragedy in Benghazi, the policies of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have left us vulnerable. Our immigration system is broken, leaving our country open to security threats and the negative consequences of illegal immigration. A Donald Trump administration will listen to and learn from our nation’s heroes who have put themselves in harm’s way and pursue a national security strategy and foreign policy that will strengthen our military and make America safe again.to get America’s economy up and running … and get Americans working again....

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said Tuesday he agrees that delegates to the Republican national convention should be free to vote their conscience, even if that means not supporting presumptive nominee Donald Trump. Walker is a former presidential candidate and a delegate to the convention next month. He told reporters following a groundbreaking at a sausage factory that he will follow Wisconsin Republican Party rules and cast his ballot for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in the first round because Cruz won the state primary.

Asked during a taping of "The Tonight Show" whether he thought Republicans were happy with their presidential nominee, President Obama had a quick answer. "We are," he said to immediate laughter. "I don't know how they're feeling." "I am worried about the Republican Party," he told host Jimmy Fallon in the interview, which will air in full Thursday.

Rick Wiley was hired on a short-term basis as a consultant until the campaign was running full steam. It is now doing better than ever, we are leading in the polls, and we have many exciting events ready to go, far ahead of schedule, while Hillary continues her long, boring quest against Bernie. We would like to thank Rick for helping us during this transition period.

After a big win in Wisconsin earlier this month, it looks like the all-important statewide delegate selection process could leave Team Cruz at a serious disadvantage. I’m told by several people familiar with the situation that the constitution of the Republican Party of Wisconsin gives the presidential campaign that wins the state’s popular vote the prerogative of picking 15 of the 18 statewide delegates and 18 of the state’s 18 alternate delegates to the Republican National Convention. Though Governor Scott Walker endorsed Ted Cruz and clearly has a close working relationship with the Wisconsin GOP, the Republican Party of Wisconsin...

Wisconsin’s recent primary election gave Democrats another opportunity to take political shots at Governor Scott Walker’s 2011 signature collective-bargaining reform law, Act 10. Curbing the power of the public-sector unions had damaged the state, according to Senator Bernie Sanders. Not to be outdone, Hillary Clinton declared that weakening collective bargaining was “making it more difficult for families.” This “analysis” of Walker’s reforms might play well at a political rally, but it ignores the evidence on the ground from the last five years. It all began on February 11, 2011, when Governor Walker declared that the state was broke. Years of...

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker now vows to support whoever the Republican Party puts forward as its nominee at July's convention in Cleveland, even if that person is Donald Trump. "I will support the Republican running against (Democratic front-runner) Hillary Clinton in the fall -- whoever that is," Walker told reporters Wednesday, according to a report from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump listed a few of his fellow 2016 rivals as possible running mates in an interview published Monday. Speaking to columnist Kirsten Powers, Trump spoke favorably about Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) who he famously feuded with before defeating him in his home state.... “There are people I have in mind in terms of vice president. I just haven’t told anybody names,” he said. “[I] do like Marco. I do like (John) Kasich. … I like (Scott) Walker actually in a lot of ways. I hit him very hard. … But I’ve always liked him.”

Donald Trump can only wish that every Wisconsin county had been La Crosse County. While U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz picked up 48 percent of the million-plus ballots cast in Wisconsin’s Republican presidential primary Tuesday to Trump’s 35 percent, La Crosse County voters favored Trump 41.4 to 37.2 percent. And University of Wisconsin-La Crosse political scientist Joe Heim was a little stunned by the action at the polling places, calling La Crosse County’s turnout of 61.8 percent of registered voters “pleasantly shocking.” What didn’t surprise Heim was Cruz’s overall performance. “He had the right strategy,” Heim said of the Texas senator...

Donald Trump, who previously claimed that nobody would ever work with Ted Cruz, lately complains that too many people are working with Ted Cruz. He also says Cruz is being used by the establishment for the sole purpose of stopping the Trump Train (a fitting nickname for something hurtling to such spectacular wreckage.) His supporters and surrogates love to float the names of those who will be swooped in at the convention to replace both himself and Cruz. One of those names is Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, about whom they’ve been particularly conspiratorial-minded the last few days, for obvious...
