Respect is a two-way street. Recent polls suggest that about half of Americans hold negative views of Islam, and this is not merely blind bigotry. If they want respect, Muslim states must seek active ways to improve relations with the United States.

The HIAS (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) (is employing McCarthyism-style tactics to silence their leading opponent Dr. Stephen Steinlight. Steinlight has provided a long-standing, if independent-minded (this is a bad thing?) service to the Jewish community, including at the American Jewish Committee, the US Holocaust Museum, and the National Conference of Christians and Jews, prior to his work at CIS. Now, he is being promoted as a persona non grata by HIAS through McCarthyite tactics. This email was sent to various Jewish newspapers and organizations by Roberta Elliot, the HIAS V.P. of media and communications:

Feeling bruised and abused this morning? Well, you can't say you didn't see it coming. The polls have been saying for weeks that voters were going to do just what they did on Tuesday: Conclusively reject your slate on the ballot, Propositions 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D and 1E.

We all know what happens when we procrastinate in school. You cram three weeks worth of studying all in one night. You get little sleep, you don't study nearly enough, and almost always you do poorly on said test. In the next year or so, we are about to find out what happens when you procrastinate in the world of geopolitics. President Obama made this troubling statement coming out of his meeting with the Prime Minister, Bibi Netanyahu.

Supreme Leader Obama—who usually appears on television at least once a day—recently spoke at a high school to a group of his adherents in Rio Rancho, NM. Now that he and his minions have systematically gutted the US Treasury, Obama may have finally uttered a truth. Of the now close to $2TRILLION in debt that he has already instituted against We-the-People

The joint statement video is below. Obama simplistically clings to the only phrase he knows - "two-state solution." Bibi broadens the discussion deftly. Obama: "I've said before and I'll say again" blah blah blah. So narrow. The "broader" peace Bibi mentions is actually a slap at Obama. Remember that Obama wanted Turkey to run the peace negotiations. Jordan and Egypt took over, tossing the Turks. Jordan has offered a 57-state solution - complete recognition of Israel by every Arab state.

Strange Discovery on Table MountainJack Lee Mark Filcher woke up early in the morning, had a shower, put on his jeans and tee shirt and downed a strong cup of hot black coffee, as he prepared for another day at his pit mine. But, this one particular day would differ from all the rest in a most unusual and significant way. Mark owns a 12.5 acre parcel on Table Mt., where he's done some prospecting with modest results for the last 23 months. And he was back at work last Monday, scratching at the ground in his big yellow John...

I know from personal involvement that the devastating invasion of Gaza by Israel could easily have been avoided. After visiting Sderot last April and seeing the serious psychological damage caused by the rockets that had fallen in that area, my wife, Rosalynn, and I declared their launching from Gaza to be inexcusable and an act of terrorism. Although casualties were rare (three deaths in seven years), the town was traumatized by the unpredictable explosions. About 3,000 residents had moved to other communities, and the streets, playgrounds and shopping centers were almost empty. Mayor Eli Moyal assembled a group of citizens...

But Hollywood’s Chattering Classes are thoroughly, completely and spectacularly wrong. And therein lies the source of a looming tragedy so great it would take a thousand movies to simply sketch it out… were it not for the fact that if Hollywood as it now exists continues to do what it is doing unopposed, there will be no more movies because there will be no more electricity.

We might have had a faster response to Katrina, and prevented the 9/11 attacks altogether, if only we'd followed the advice of Dick the Butcher. Dick the Butcher is the character in Shakespeare's "Henry VI" who says: "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers."
