The misleading story of Armstrong Williams.....
Blake Elliott

Again the media is not reporting the facts of this correctly. In many of the news stories covering this matter, the journalist states that Armstrong was paid by the Education Department. This could not be further from the truth. The Education Department paid a public relations firm to promote their policy. It was that firm that employed Armstrong, and the contract was between Armstrong and the PR firm. This is an attempt to connect the White House to another scandal. The only person who should feel uneasy is Armstrong for not disclosing this information at every turn possible. How ironic this breaks at the same time Hillary's finance guy gets indicted.

Armstrong Williams is no Bill Moyers that's for sure.
Nor is he a Mara Liasson or Juan Williams.
Those people would NEEEEEEVER take taxpayer money and promote the Liberal agenda.

I love the way the Jackass Democrats are saying this calls into question every pundit who backs the Bush Administration, how stupid.

It was that firm that employed Armstrong, and the contract was between Armstrong and the PR firm.Who owns the PR firm? Also, anyway you parse it out - or have we digressed to a battle of semantics over the meaning of "is" - this is sleazy. Apologists may flame away and be ignored.

And that makes it better how? The Education department paid money that went to a 'commentator' to taut their policies.

Nor is he a Mara Liasson or Juan Williams.I saw Juan Williams discussing this subject yesterday. He mentioned something that I found surprising - he stated that Armstrong Williams is the Godfather to his children.
To: carolinacrazy
And why has Armstrong Williams not make this point clear, EVERY time he discusses the issue?

That link/site has crashed my browser 3 times in a row. Weird.

Not feel better, but the only reason anyone is worried is because the way the media has portrayed this entire occurrence. The hiring of PR firms to promote policy has been going on from the federal level to the county level forever.

Watch Fox News. He just came on through an interview with Kelly Wright, and said all of this.

only reason anyone is worried is because the way the media has portrayed this entire occurrence. Some of us don't like government propoganda, even if it comes from the right. I couldn't care less what the 'media' makes if it. I am bothered by it. I can only imagine how I would feel to learn that reporters were promoting policies I disagree with, becuase they were paid by the government to do so.
