I know there are many cat lovers here on FR. And some of you mentioned your affection for Neko every time I posted her picture. Unfortunately Neko passed in October from a brain disease or tumor, the vet wasn't really sure. It was quite a blow to the family, and my 9 year old daughter. We had to get two cats just to replace the love we got from Neko.

I am so sorry. I have gone through many of my darlings going to heaven in my long life, and I share your pain.

My condolences on your loss.

We had to get two cats just to replace the love we got from Neko.

When my beloved Stimpy passed in 2003, I had to get two to replace her love too! :) Now I can't imagine being without my Bonnie & Clyde.

I know loosing a loved pet is extemely difficult. You two new members that need love and affection. They will never replace Neko but they need you now. You will see Neko again on the the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

I am sorry for your loss.
I believe that our pets go to Heaven and become special angels. Neko now has a new role as Feline Angel and I am sure she is just happy and purring her love to you!

posting here the poem I wrote for my new son in law who adopted my granddaughter, all this year... mentions cats so that's my excuse:

Twas the night before Christmas
And Jackson was thinking
What did I get into
I must have been blinking.

A year ago this time
I was single and free
Now I have a whole family
Two cats and a tree.

The various relatives
all seem just fine
But I need a play book
And they just give me rhymes.

Oh well, being santa
Isn’t so tragic
In fact being daddy
is really quite magic.

So sorry for your loss. They worm their way into our hearts and families somehow. I don't know what I'd do if we lost ours. There's no other like her.

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. I will be posting the pictures of my new additions soon. The first, Mischa, is a female russian blue mix with the most beautiful gold (yes they are) eyes. The other one we just got from PetSmart's adoption facility today and she is a beautiful blue eyed siamese mix. Both are precious and beautiful. I was never a big cat lover until we got Neko. She was not just beautiful but so loving as well.

Mischa is a rascal and loves to scrap with me sometimes. Unfortunately it's usually right at bedtime and she'll give be a little nip on the toe or hand just as I'm falling asleep. She also likes to attack our feet while we sleep, and my poor wife sleeps with her feet OUTSIDE OF THE COVERS, OOOWWWEEE!! But she's a bundle of joy, the cat, well and my wife, LOL.

My special cat was named Phoenix and passed four years ago.

Phoenix still brightens my days and was with me for 15 years.

I think our special friends never really leave us.

"Nope, they live in our memories and our hearts. And make them that much warmer."

I lost my beloved cat Mindy 4 months ago. She was almost 21 years old. I used to say that she was my first-born. She was a cherished member of our family, and we were devastated when we had to make the decision to stop being selfish and end her pain.

I miss her so much. Only cat lovers understand how much. :(
