If sufficiently frightened, for a short period time I think most Americans will put up with police state light or even “Boston Strong” outright police thuggery. As these Wuhan plague panic models continue to implode most Americans will become unruly pretty quickly.
The article’s author treats Biden as though he is a normal, lucid candidate. Nothing could be farther from the truth. It won’t be Biden who alters his positions. It will be campaign staffers. Biden can’t remember his campaign positions. He’s probably lucky to remember his name.
Biden’s bizarre outbursts are to cover for the fact that he can’t speak a coherent sentence. I challenge you to a pushup contest is a lot easier to say then I think we have to establish a study group to decide how we will fund and implement Medicaid for all.
He lives in the biggest mansion in the state of Delaware. Instead of an assisted living facility, he can arrange to have Visiting Angels come to his house.
We lucked out on that one. The Dems had triple control and spent the whole two years fussing on Obamacare. Missed a LOT of opportunities to do damage.
Things like card check unionization, national outlaw of right to work, cap & tax on energy, etc.
Bernie hedged his bets. He’s not actively campaigning but he’s still on the ballot and he’s still collecting delegates. If Biden comes down with COVID 19 or Alzheimer’s then Sanders will be there to take the nomination or at least challenge Cuomo for it.
Even Democrats who claim they are for Biden quietly whisper about his senility when they think no “outsider” is listening.
Cuomo will replace Biden (due to his incapacitation) and name Bernie as VP for a unity ticket.
Team Bernie is effectively holding a gun to Biden’s head...
If their gun is aimed at Biden’s head, he is safe from any lethal harm.
I am not so optimistic.
