Georgetown University law professor Rosa Brooks summarized the scenarios generated by her politics model as a choice between tranquility or chaos. Of every potential election outcome we tested only the one where former Vice-President Joe Biden wins in a landslide predicts a peaceful transfer of power.
Brooks used her model projections to argue that clearly, the only patriotic option available to voters is to cast their ballots for the Biden/Harris ticket. This true for both those who see Trump as the worst person to ever hold the office and those who see Biden as mentally incompetent. A cadre of violent looters, rioters, and arsonists stand ready to burn this country down if Trump wins reelection. Preventing this outcome must be every voters goal when they either vote by mail or vote in person.
The Professor predicted that an outcome similar to what prevailed in 2016a popular vote victory for Hillary Clinton and an electoral college victory for Trumpwould be the worst possible outcome. Even if this apparent election night outcome is later overtaken by a trove of late arriving mail-in ballots or boxes of votes found in car trunks, polling station closets, or basements of Democratic Party election monitors there will still be unrest while we wait for these found ballots to be counted.
Finally, let me also point out that polls show that 28% of Biden supporters wont accept a Trump victory, whereas only 19% of Trump supporters wont accept a Biden victory. Seeing that a small contingent of Biden supporters are already rampaging in the streets of several of this countrys biggest cities, while Trump supporters are not, the easier path is for Republicans to cross the aisle and vote Democrat to spare the nation from an even bigger conflagration than weve already seen over the past three months.

Either way there’ll be rioting.
Rioters will be more emboldened with Biden/Harris at the helm. They will get everything they want including reparations. All of this capitulation will make Neville Chamberlain look like a hard-nose.
Nah, maybe 4 days.
Actually, Kamala Harris says “No, it’s not going to stop, even after the election ... it’s going on forever ... it’s a movement”, all bright and cheery and enthusiastic.
Once you pay the danegeld.....you are never rid of the dane.
The Washington Compost won’t allow links so the Editorial by Georgetown professor Rosa Brooks was reframed as “Parody” by The Babylon Bee.
In the actual editorial Rosa Brooks analyzed the four “Scenarios” her “Experts” considered most likely.
A Biden popular vote and electoral landslide
A narrow Biden win
Trump loses the popular vote with a narrow electoral win
An uncertain election as in the 2000 Broward County Florida endless hanging chad recounts.
In her scenarios she had Biden calling for peaceful demonstrations (I would assume she meant the “Mostly Peaceful kind), and Trump agitating and fomenting violence and doing all kinds of nasty evil things only the author can imagine.
Her experts gave no consideration of the possibility of a “Trump Landslide”. I assume her carefully chosen “experts” would consider this outcome impossible and proof positive the Russians helped Trump cheat.
Biden would then have no choice but to call for extreme “mostly peaceful” protests.
I wonder how professors like this will react if these “peaceful protests” start targeting universities?
Peaceful protests are generally good for Democrats - but violent ones drive people toward a law and order candidate.
Omar Wasow of Princeton University wanted to measure the impact of the violent protests following Kings death on white voting patterns in the 1968 election.
He found a remarkable swing of up to 8% among white voters against Nixons Democratic rival, Hubert Humphrey, where there had been violence.
Will protests help Donald Trump as they did Richard Nixon in 1968?
History suggests that Republicans benefit from street violence, whereas Democrats gain from peaceful protests
