22LR subsonic from a 16+” barrel does not even need a suppressor during any kind of a “protest march.”
Try it at the range, outside, you will agree. Most of the noise from 22LR fired from a rifle is sonic crack. Going subsonic solves that.
22LR from a pistol means both a fairly significant muzzle blast plus sonic crack with standard velocity rounds. There is not much payoff shooting subsonic from pistols.
The real jackpot is 22LR subsonic from a long barrel. No suppressor required.

I think you have me confused with someone else. I said nothing about shooting from the shadow. Nothing about turning self in to LE. Nothing about who shot the arsonist.
And earlier you said something about shooting from the porch, under the porch light- which I also made no reference to.
I merely posted a thought on your thread after reading some of the other comments. And I basically started out telling you I agreed with what you wrote.

While I do ‘back the blue,’ if they are not able to respond due to mob control or some arbitrary rules of engagement...I will respond. And God will sort the rest out later.

Andy Ngo doesn’t actually go to these riots anymore, it would be far too dangerous, he would be killed if he was identified. He’s an aggregator now, and the recipient of leaks from inside frustrated PDs etc.

I measured it as 106db. A suppressed 308 is 106db.
Outside with regular suburban/urban background noise, it will never be noticed.
My concept is that you don’t want to defend YOUR suburban house from a communist mob, intentions unknown, but arson not being ruled out.
