With Fernandina on the Galapagos still pouring lava into the oceans, I thought I'd post a couple of impressive ocean entry videos I found along with an image. The first video is Fernandina, the next two are Kilauea (Hawaii).
Eruption in the Galapagos Islands (lava entry at night)
Kalapana ocean entry with lightning (and also a waterspout)

Nature & its awesome beauty!
Thanks for the ping, and the links. Just awesome!

Beautiful footage. I’ve seen Kiluaeua up close and personal numerous times. Lava flows are awesome and sobering to behold.
Electric Waterspouts
Russian plasma physicist V. A. Rantsev-Kartinov studied waterspouts from a plasma point of view. He came to understand the waterspout as a long-lasting discharge current between the plasma networks of the ocean surface (or lake surface) and the electrical charge of the clouds above.
