What are the implications of this, if any?

Profiling the ocean is more important than profiling “terrorists”...right?

It’s interesting that there seem to be regular waves in the data in the second chart. WUWT?

I posted this....but I am not clear on some of the technical facts...exactly what part of the ocean are we measuring...guessing from the context it is the Pacific El Nino and La Nina area that has such a large influence on the Global Climate....
The graphing techniques can be misleading for someone not up to speed....guess I am in that group.

Does a sheen of oil atop a large portion of the gulf warm or cool the waters underneath?

The Humboldt Bay region had a light frost Thursday morning with the low temp of 32/34 plus we had the wettest winter in many years and it more then doubled the average in April. We will see if our summer fogs return after a hiatus for a few years. So far May has been very windy but clear...

Then again. The wording could mean a composite global sea surface anomaly. I’m confused at the moment. Must re-read the whole article to try to figure out if it is a given ocean’s measurements or the total means of all the oceans. This stuff can wreck one’s mind at times.

From the spread sheet...PDF form... I cut heading of the data set....It reads:
Equatorial Heat Content (average temperature in the upper 300 meters deg C)130E-80W.
So we know wording in the article keep referring to El Nino, and the Pacific Ocean is mentioned multiple times.
I deduce the 1 degree C drop therefore is referring to the equator across some section of the Pacific Ocean.
