Saqqara, in Egypt, is the oldest stone complex ever built by humansand within it sits the oldest pyramid in Egypt. Its a piece of irreplaceable history thats been crumbling for 4,600 years. But according to one local report, its currently being destroyed by the company hired to restore it.
In fact, the company hired by Egypts Ministry of Antiquities may have even committed a crime in its restoration. According to the Egypt Independent, preservation laws require that any new construction be less than 5 percent of the preserved structure. Instead, the companywhich has reportedly never worked on a preservation project before!constructed a number of new walls and structures that exceed the limit.
Now, that might not be such a huge deal. Buildings can be torn down. But according to activists speaking in the story, the new construction is actually contributing to the collapse of the pyramid, which is considered the oldest cut stone structure in the world.

surprised the UN hasn’t taken over as a “world heritage site” as it did with Stonehenge
Before even reading the article I'm gonna guess that the owner of this company is related in some way to Zahi Hawass.
They’re too busy designating Jewish holy sites in Israel as “mosques”.
I’ve often wondered about the tradition of Job being chief engineer of the Great Pyramid of Giza.
Possibly a poor decision, that. But in fairness there aren't all that many 4,000 year old buildings to go about gaining experience on. So, there's that.
I heard it was Enoch.
“Saqqara, in Egypt, is the oldest stone complex ever built by humans”
What’s the oldest stone complex ever built by non-humans?
Pyramid Ping
I spent a couple of years there and it was disheartening to see priceless treasure steadily being destroyed through ineptitude and primitiveness. The beautiful museum in Cairo is filthy and unattended, the artifacts are moldering and crumbling within their cases and little or not attempt to maintain humidity controls or protect the artifacts from degradation by oxygen, temperature or light. All the hundreds of items from Tutankhamun's tomb are crumbling in their cases after surviving thousand of years before they were discovered.
The attempts at "preservation" are amateurish and stupid: one look at the lower portions of the Great Sphinx makes you believe that some high school students with their first try at concrete did the work.
No surprise at all that the "restorations" at Saqqara are inept. That's Egypt. If it isn't Islamic, they don't care.
I don’t know, but others might.
What I do know is that the Saqqara pyramid is younger than the pyramids at Giza according to unpublished and published reports by several teams of Egyptologists. The Saqqara pyramid is definitely NOT the oldest stone structure known - many megalith structures are far older.
There is also a optical thermoluminescence dating on one of the three Giza pyramids that puts its date at around 3500 BC - 5500 years ago.
The Saqqara pyramid was an attempt to imitate the builders of the Giza pyramids by a later Pharaoh. In fact, the whole of Egyptology as a history is in complete disarray - much of which is sue to the severe restrictions on actually studying many sites for any length of time, if at all - like the Sphinx Temple.
Dating tests of types which cannot be done in Egypt (like optical thermoluminescence due to lack of facilities) have been recently forbidden. Zwass strikes again.
It’ll become a victory mosque by the time they are done with it.

Thanks for asking . . .
I don’t believe in aliens. However, I do believe in demons.
I also lean toward believing Nephilim giants built many of the inexplicable monolithic structures of antiquity.
